From the President, Hello to all of you mission minded, mission loving, part- ners and supporters of Sowers of the Living Word Ministries (SLWM). It means a lot to us as you pray and support the Phil- ippines mission of the Sowers ministry. A BIG THANK YOU from me to you. My wife, Sarah, and I leſt for the Philippines November 27, 2018 and returned May 7, 2019. We are typically away from our American home for about six months every year. This last trip was know doubt one of best and rewarding years for me as President these past six years. There is much more cohesiveness among our 15 churches and Senior pastors and leaders. How was this accom- plished? By giving intrinsic movaon to our 15 senior pastors of the 15 churches and their Primary leaders it teaches them confidence to carry out our direcve in the Mission/Vision of Intenonal Disciple Making which includes, but not limited to, Winning the Lost & Making Disciples. We are dedicated to inspiring our leaders to be- come "Change Agents." The CIA(Chrisans In Acon) by DOING... not simply LISTENING. By closely following this strategy it is creang sustainable, dupli- catable soluons for success. Keeping our leaders movated plays a key part in this success. We do this by having monthly class train- ing in the Intenonal Disciple Making Strategy. Of course, this alone is not enough to sustain this movaon. We add to this, re- laonship building... fun mes by going to the beaches for a swim, or hot springs for a soak, and for sure great food wherever we go. In the beginning where many of our leaders needed extrinsic recognion and accountability we are, through our Strategy, changing the atmosphere within the ministry of Sowers. Our lead- ers are gaining the intrinsic movaon to have a great desire in building the Kingdom of God in their local churches through what they have learned through and by the monthly training. This coming foreign missions journey for us begins with a 30 day trip back to the Philippines from October 1-31, 2019. Then again for our longer journey from about January 1 to May 5, 2020. Again, thank you for the many years of prayers and Support. —Wayne & Sarah Wasem Sowers of the Living Word Ministries, Inc. Our team visited several of the more remote churches. It was great to visit Matagektek Church aſter having not been there for many years. There were many nice improvements happening to the building there. One of the big changes that is a true blessing that I saw is that the mountain roads and bridges to our churches are really improv- ing! It's excing to see all of the growth in the churches as the pas- tors connue to commit to learning more about the ministry per- sonally and about discipling their people at the monthly HQ meengs! There were several other fellow churches that I minis- tered at while there also, plus helping at a Missionary's conference in Manila before I returned to the USA. Amazing trip! Sandy and I are looking forward to our next trip in January 2020 for a longer 3 month stay. We appreciate your PRAYERS and SUPPORT as we plan and prepare for our mission's travel and ministry each year.
