helping me pull this together.

You guys are the best in the business and I wouldn’t

hesitate recommending you for any branding needs.

step 2Concept Development

Developing a design concept is potentially the most rewarding or frustrating part of the design process.

Architects have focused on creating the perfect structural space that they would prefer to be complemented by and not overpowered by the final decor.

Page 8

Finding the balance between all the various factors that will influence the final design is es-sential. The design must appeal to its intended users at a variety of levels; function, usability, reliability, cost, shape & colour. The decision makers and stakeholders must all be taken into account so the final design has an appeal to the intended users & creates the required environment.

Page 9: SP Vision Branding

step 2Concept Development

Page 9 Communicating a companies brand & principles through direct or ab-stract visual media is part of our design culture.

In practice Vision’s team usually works with architects that have design concepts at varying stages of development that may require completion.

Page 10: SP Vision Branding

step 3amend design based on consultation

After the initial design concepts have been presented, Vision’s team will assess the clients comments and provide amended designs if required.

We accommodate for most file formats including Auto-cad .dwg files which we import into SketchUp to create a 3 dimensional representa-tion of the space where the design will be applied.

Page 10

Page 11: SP Vision Branding

Step 4finalise design & prep for poduction

When the final designs & samples have been approved & colour refer-ences and Pantone colours are confirmed, Vision’s art department will prepare all the files for print & production. The space that will be branded is physically measured to ensure that there are no discrepancies from the plans or that no changes have oc-curred on site.At this stage Vision then assigns a project manager to ensure that the installation is completed on time & on budget. The project manager will liaise with the Architect, Design, Production & Installation team.

Page 11

Page 12: SP Vision Branding

Project management

Page 12

Vision assigns a project manager to work with the building contractor, the architect & Vision’s design, production & installation teams.

They ensure that the branding projects keep to deadlines by coordinat-ing the areas ready for installation with the building contractor.

Page 13: SP Vision Branding

Project management

Page 13 As our product is typically the last element of the building process deadlines are normally short. It is essential that all glass is fitted on schedule & walls have been painted with sufficient drying time.

Any on site issues such as extras required or changes from client are dealt with immediately by the project manager & communicated to the relevant parties.

Vision’s involvement in the design, pro-duction & installation process ensures that standards and quality are adhered to throughout the whole process.

Printing process

Vision uses various printing processes to en-sure the finest quality print finish.

Our HP Latex printers offer high resolution printing process in water based inks that pro-duce more vivid & livelier colours. The eco-friendly printing process is especially applicable for hospitals, schools & sensitive environments where solvent based inks can

Page 15 give off fumes as well as being damaging to the environment.

All vinyl prints are laminated to ensure protec-tion from fading and general wear & tear. This makes the final print immune to most surface scratching & cleaning products.

Technical highlights

• The images are digitally printed at 1200dpi to create very realistic pictures.

wall art Once the final design concept has been approved the wall art can be produced in a variety of different medias:

• Wall paper that is smooth, textured, fabric backed or PVC free.

• Self adhesive vinyls with gloss or matt laminates, highly adhesive or re-positionable.

• Writable white board vinyls combined with digital prints & graphics.

The following pages show examples of various projects Vision has completed with these differ-ent medias.

Page 18: SP Vision Branding

Self adhesivevinyl

In high traffic areas the combination of a strong adhesive vinyl with a laminate ensures that there are no frayed edges or peeling. The lami-nate ensures robust protection against scratching, cleaning, fading.

Page 19: SP Vision Branding

Self adhesivevinyl

Vision uses a number of vinyl manufacturers including 3M, Avery & MACtac depending on the budget, application & finish required.

The use of vinyl removes the need for wallpaper paste & is easier to fit. Vinyls unlike wall papers can be applied to more difficult areas such as small returns on walls, doors & skirting. Combined with the laminate it is very robust in high traffic areas. Aesthetically the only disadvantage to wallpaper is that as it is a plastic product it must be overlapped rather than butt jointed like wallpaper.

Page 20: SP Vision Branding

Digitally printed fabric backed wallpaper

This material gives a more traditional wallpaper effect. There are various types of smooth & textured finishes to choose from.

The wallpaper used for print is fabric backed and our channel suppliers provide 5 year warranty with the wallpaper. The wallpaper is class O fire rated.

Glass artPage 27

Vision has designed, produced & installed thousands of square metres of manifestations, prints & decoration for glass. From creating art on glass to act as an feature piece in a reception to purely functional mani-festations to providing privacy Vision’s designers will use many tech-niques & printing process combinations to complement the space. The following pages illustrate some of the projects we’ve worked on and various processes we use.

Page 28: SP Vision Branding

Printed frosted film

Using the latex digital process with different transparent & opaque films a wide variety of effects can be achieved.

These images show that with lower intensity internal lighting the images & colours are highlighted by the stronger external light.

Transform an unsightly view into a work of art and create privacy simul-taneously.

This 1920’s themed restaurant wanted a more private space for diners. Vision’s designers procured photos from Czech photographer Jan Sau-deks collection that complemented the theme & colouring of the space whilst giving privacy yet allowing sufficient light transmission.

printed frosted film

The high resolution of the HP Latex printing process gives the images stronger vibrant colours. The eco-friendly latex inks are water based and cause no damage to the environment or your health.

Page 30

Page 31: SP Vision Branding

Cut-out etched film

Health & safety regulations require markings on glass to prevent acci-dents. Typically these markings are squares or dots but these images il-lustrate that with a little imagination the glass can be enhanced by more creative designs. Different colour frosted manifestations can be used to complement the brand or interior colours.

Using high speed precision plotters we can create even the most intri-cate patterns or designs to create a feature on the glass.

Page 31

Page 32: SP Vision Branding

Cut-out etched film

The options are limitless when it comes to decorating your glass with etched window films. Add a distinctive designer style to your interiors by availing of our in-house design team.

Visions’ designers & installers have worked on hundreds of projects in the UK & Ireland, America, Sweden & mainland Europe installing thou-sands of square metres of window film & glass art.

Page 32

Page 33: SP Vision Branding

Printed transparent film

By printing on an optically clear film a different type of effect can be achieved. The images are transparent and appear to be printed directly onto the glass.

The digital printing is formatted & calibrated to each individual transpar-ent film. Vision prints many test runs to get the colours perfect for your image & design .

Page 33

Page 34: SP Vision Branding

Combination of printed cut out films

On some projects we have combined two types of film to the same piece of glass. Externally we will place a transparent film printed with an image and internally we will shadow the image with a cut out frosted or opaque film.

This creates a unique and original effect that is truly glass art.

Page 34

Page 35: SP Vision Branding

Coloured & digitally printed toughened glass

Page 35 Vision’s unique printing process prints directly onto glass panels 6-20mm depth with carefully selected images to create effects of natu-ral elements such as stone, granite, wood & abstract materials.

The toughened glass is treated so that the inks have permanent adhe-sion to the glass & are then sealed with different painting techniques to protect the image. Vision uses a variety of inks including ceramic inks to enhance the final image.

Page 36: SP Vision Branding

Page 37

Coloured & digitally printed toughened glass

Vision can produce spray backed coloured glass or any type of high resolution digitally printed images. Different effects can be created with the digital printing process so that the images can be more transparent or completely cover the glass area .

Page 38

Vision works with various artists to present their work in the digitally printed glass format. This surreal abstract piece by French artist Aurelie Philippe complements the neutral colours of the marble tiles. Vision’s designers can help you to source completely original pieces of art or im-ages to create the perfect print for whatever application.

Page 39: SP Vision Branding

Glass magnetic white boards

Traditional white boards can leave traces of the pens used over time causing “ghosting”. Vision’s made to measure glass white boards will remove this problem and can also be combined with metal adding a magnetic effect. You can post notes and photos with the two accom-panying magnets, or write erasable messages with the erasable marker. Company logos, brand principles or a picture can also be added to the white board for a truly unique white board.

Glass & acrylic displays

The picture featured shows acrylic panels laser etched that are housed in a stainless steel frame.. The frame is housing led lights that pass the light across the panel lighting up the etched letters.

This project was completed for UCD Dublin and was a feature in the Kevin Barry memorial building displaying the history of Kevin Barry. Vi-sion can design and make bespoke display solutions that will comple-ment the overall theme of your building.

Glass way finder systems

Glass way finders have a number of advantages over acrylic. The toughened glass is more durable and cleans easier. Over time acrylic can scratch and become dull due to cleaning or unclean environment. Glass never loses its sparkle and retains its gleam even after many years. The image below shows a large toughened glass way finder system 10mm deep with the company colours sprayed on and baked to ensure longevity.

Our recent projects: paypal

PayPal’s main reception wall sign was designed to reflect the impor-tance of people in its organisation. Using hundreds of profile pictures the wall became a background collage for the 20mm plastic raised letters.

Page 48

Page 49: SP Vision Branding

Our recent projects: paypal

An internal glass wall required a privacy solution that would not block natural light. Vision produced a design on the etched film that incorpo-rated various cities skylines reflecting the international scope of PayPal.

Viewing the glass as a medium for art can make it a feature that con-tributes to the rooms space and atmosphere.

Page 49

Our recent projects: metlife

Vision produced the branding for Metlife’s new European headquarters. The reception wall is made of rear painted toughened glass with the world map in cut out vinyl on the surface. The logo was made from built up polished stainless steel. The concrete pillar is covered in a 3M heavy grade silver vinyl. The city names in cut out vinyl are placed on individually to ensure they meet perfectly around the pillar.
