The permit acquired through the Spain Residence-by-Investment Program allows investors free circulation in Europe’s Schengen Area and could also count toward citizenship eligibility. The program has three different qualifying routes to choose from to unlock your future:

Program Requirements

The acquisition of real estate with a minimum value of EUR 500,000

The creation of a business project to be developed in Spain, duly recognized as being of ‘general interest’

Program Application Process and Time Frame

The application can be made either through a Spanish diplomatic or consular post or directly in Spain.

First, you are required to supply your application through the prescribed forms, along with the required investment.

After the investment process is completed, the immigration procedure will take approximately 20 working days.

The resident card will then be issued after 25 days, subject to the submission of biometric data.

The investor visa, which is not mandatory for the process, is valid for one year and can subsequently be converted into a residence permit for the following period of two years.
