Before the Presentations

we had a short talk by

the Headmistress of the

school, Fr Roswitha

Schön .

Objectives: Show the different channels this teacher uses to let students know about Computer

Components and devices , and their functions .

Know the basic elements of a computer, devices, components and connections, as a whole.

Hardware and software as a binary code.

Description:

The Spanish presentation was explained and strongly supported by a video created from

different recordings of several lessons made in the weeks previous to the meeting.

Through the teacher’s speech students were introduced to the different components of a

computer, but, at the same time, they were given a real computer disassambled, so that

they could have in their hands most of the devices mentioned.

During the lessons several videos were played to the students, on the topic, and they had

the chance to assemble the different pieces and parts and be taugh to make them work,

shapes, parameters to be measured needed, etc.

In David’s lessons, he somehow plays a s a monitor for students, someone who invites you

to discover and improve your personal abilities and skills, competences and capabilities, not

as a leader but as a helping hand. Students progress and come to domain every singles point

they have been told to face and deal with. Therefore, there will be some items which will be

milestones leading the students to achieve the desired objectives.

This teacher uses many of

different ways of communicating

with students, and keeps

communication with them alive,

permanent and fluent, using mail,

hangouts, etc, as well as he uses a

board in his lessons.

As the presentation finished, we discussed on it and possibilities for improvement, and

most of us agreed that creating and maintaining that sort of communication with students

and ambiance in the classrooms, certainly improve the effectiveness of the teaching and

learning procedures.

Obviously everything was dealt with in

English, as the Technology lessons are

in our school.

During the stay, the students made more than friends and, obviously there was a time for

tourism, too.
