Formed in 2003 by young Parisian musicians, Swing Deluxe fuses the great classics of French and American jazz from the 1930s to the 1950s, including Boris Vian, Charles Trenet, Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington, with this distinctive French swing. Another great inspiration comes from guitarist Jean “Django” Reinhardt, noted for combining a dark, chromatic gypsy flavour with the swing articulation of the roaring Paris of the 1930s, also referred to as Gipsy Jazz or “Jazz Manouche”.
Abu Dhabi will certainly have that swing this festive season as Anantara Eastern Mangroves and Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara play host for the second year to the Parisian band.
