Council Frowns On Dump Yard Request by Brick Company Altho no action was taken, members of the city council In- dicated Tuesday night that the request of the Star Brick and Tile Company for permission to establish a dump between 174th and 178th streets along Western avenue probably would not be granted. The matter was re- ferred to the Planning Commls- ricn for recommendation. Mayor Tom McGuiro pointed out that even If the brick com- i pany erected a seven-foot tight I fence in .front of the dump near Western that such a barrier would not conceal the grounds from view because of the ter- rain. He also stated that West- ern is eventually to be a 100-foot artery and when widened the street would be within three feet of the dump grounds.
