Polish your presentation Add the STC Summit logo to your title slide

Use standard fonts Avoid complex colors that could degrade when moving

Various backgrounds, jobs, & experience levels May leave to find another session Expectations Presentation content will match the session description Speakers will be prepared Speakers will be respectful

Be mindful of language, sensitive topics, the back channel Start on time; end on time (including Q&A)

Advanced sessions will be advanced, beginner will be beginner

Pick up your packets/badges in the registration area – Regency Ballroom Foyer, 3rd floor, Hyatt

Visit the Education/Information Booth if you need anything – 2nd floor, near escalators

All rooms (except progressions) have laptop, projector, microphones, screen

Use the STC laptop (preferred), unless you’ve made prior arrangements

If you use your equipment, provide standard video connectors/adapters

Most rooms have internet for speaker,WIFI for attendees in many areas

Summit Playback (formerly Summit@aClick) provides great value to attendees… many positive comments

STC vendor on site is different from A/V vendor Important we know if you are using the STC laptop

or your laptop (email/agreement) We record the presentation & sync your slides

Recorded: Presentations and lightning talks Not recorded: Workshops and progressions

Please help us make this go smoothly

Be prepared… practice aloud in advance… your evaluations will reflect it

Get to the room early Volunteer, program committee, and A/V help will be

on hand Repeat questions for all to hear…especially

important for recorded sessions Remind attendees to complete the evaluations

At the Summit: Speaker Ready Room

This is a workroom with the same AV/IT equipment as the presentation rooms

Open Sunday – Tuesday, 8am – 5pm Reserve 30-minute slots (one hour max) Open to all speakers, 1pm – 3pm

Reserve a time to rehearse your presentation Work with a coach to get feedback Drop by during open hours to work on your slides
