SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON CHILDREN’S DAY PRIMARY DEPARTMENT “Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.” -Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Children’s Day or Bal Diwas is celebrated as the birthday of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who was born on 14 th November, 1889.He was known for his love for children. As a tribute to ‘Chacha Nehru’ and his love for children,the Primary Department of Gyan Bharati School,Saket celebrated Children’s Day with great pomp and show.On this Occasion,a special assembly was conducted by the students of class P2. The assembly began with shloka recitation and morning thought.The students shared information focussing on the importance of this day.It was followed by a variety of delightful performances.The little ones raised their voices and sang melodious group song.They took pledge to be a good human being and give their best to the nation.They also recited poems based on the theme ‘Children’s Day’. Last but not the least,students tapped their feet and presented a colourful group dance.The audience enjoyed the performance and encouraged the performers with a huge round of applause! The assembly concluded with a closing thought.The day marking childhood was celebrated with immense joy giving students memories to cherish!

Children’s Day or Bal Diwas is celebrated as the birthday of India’s first
