“My first contact with S[quadrat] was when we were looking for a company to help us with the steel supply and integration of 2 large displays in the Telenor Arena, in Oslo, Norway. From my experience with Jumbotrons at Sony, I knew that there are only a few companies offering both the right quality of steel structure and the ability to implement LED displays. In addition, Sony and S[quadrat] are working closely together to design complete audiovisual solu-tions using S[quadrat] LED components, specifically designed for our stadium and venue customers. We have recently completed very successful projects together as Arena Langnau in Switzerland, the “Grande Stade du Havre” and Atoll in France as well as Juventus Turin in Italy. We will also implement very soon our last technology in 2 new stadiums for the Euro 2016. „Already back in 2007, while in search of a competent partner for customised LED solutions, our attention was drawn to S[quadrat]. At that time we were designing a curved LED wall for a well-known nightclub in Berne. Together with S[quadrat], we found the perfect customised solution, and the price- performance ratio was also spot on. Since then we have implemented a number of projects together, such as the LED ring in the Hallenstadion Zurich or several LED installations for the Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan. What we like in particular about S[quadrat] is its solution-oriented approach to the tasks to be performed, as it matches our way of thinking and acting. The combination of product development and static planning helps us to integrate our planned custom designs to fit precisely into existing architectural structures and adapt them to specific framework conditions. Fremlab AB is proud to have together with the S[quadrat]-team made this breakthrough LED-installation in Sweden consisting of 4x 18 m2 screens and 8 x 9 meter fascia banner.

Helsingborg Arena is a multifunctional venue with landhockey and handball as main sports, but can also host various events like concerts, conferences etc. Fremlab have also done the complex BOSE soundsystem in 3 halls + foyers, restaurants etc and the mediasystem with 50 x 46” screens in the building all controlled and run through a Crestron Digital Media Matrix system.

SX[TempControl]: A proved warning system for dependable safety and high quality standards. You invest in aLEDvideodisplayandexpectdevice safety and reliability. Our products fulfill the requi-

rements of Ce, FCC and eMC, however the guide-lines laid down in these directives do not achieve sufficientprotectionespeciallyincasesoffire.For continuous and fault-free operation of big LeD video displays it gets more and more import-ant to monitor the operation temperature of all electrical components and to inform decentrally about abnormal operating states. Therefore we developed the warning system SX[TempControl]. The timely alarming and warning as soon as the temperature is beyond the normal range provide reliablefire protection and also securethe protection of sensitive semiconductors due to early detection of defective fans or polluted ventilation channels. Besides that these preven-tivemeasures extend the lifetimeof the entiredisplay system.

The temperatures will be shown by some kindof trafficlightapplicationwithintherackand inthe software in the control room. The tempera-

ture monitoring contains two temperature areas: one for little excess temperaturewhich triggersa graphic warning and a signal tone, and one for highexcesswhichshutsdowntheentiresystem.Then the power supply of the display will be immediately disconnected full-automatically. The disconnection of the whole power supply in the sub-distribution stops the energy supply andreducestheriskofasmoulderingfireorthe excessofthefire.

Together with its long-standing Chinese OeM production partner retop LeD Display Co., Ltd. S[quadrat] GmbH is opening the new business unit “retop europe” for retop LeD standard products.

From 1st February, 2013 S[quadrat] GmbH will extendthesuccessfulcooperativerelationshipwithits OeM manufacturer retop LeD Display Co., Ltd fromShenzhen,Chinathathasbeeninexistence for six years.
