DESCRIPTIONTHORMAS highquality cable ties provide system solutions, which can meet practically any challenge. They do not just fulfill the most up to date requirements for cable ties and cable tie systems, but THORMAS constantly pushes back the boundaries of what is technologically possible with its fixing elements. The THORMAS Cable Ties are “nonreleasable” cable ties that are made of DuPont Polyamide 6.6 (PA6.6). Unlike its predecessor (PA6), the THORMAS cable ties absorb less moisture and have a higher melting point of approximately 260°C all thanks to it molecular structure. This results in a material with slightly better thermal properties, low impact resistance and higher strength and modulus. Resistant to oils, fats, salts and dilute acids. The cable ties are available in a variety of sizes and styles, including UV resistant.
AGENCY APPROVALS & SELF CERTIFICATIONSMeet the UL94V2. Products, which are identified as UL listed and manufactured with a black UV resistant material, are listed as suitable for use outdoors.
APPLICATIONSTHORMAS cable ties are used to harness and bundle items, most commonly wires. Functioning like straps, cable ties are available in miniature sizes for holding small loads, and are also fabricated in long lengths and strong tensile strengths for large items or bundles. Each tie features serrated “teeth” on one end, which function by locking inside the head, or pawl, located on the other side of the strap. THORMAS cable tie bases are molded from PA6.6 and available in nwhite or UV resistant black material. They are also available in different sizes.
