Are You Interested? .....• In keeping Pioneer Trails a well-maintained community .

• In equality for all to maintain their homes and property .

• In volunteering your time and effort assisting Morris Management, the Boardand the Covenant Enforcement Committee to make this happen .

Morris Management conducts monthly property inspections to identify and confirmhomeowner participation with respect to compliance of our CCRs. They then pro-vide the Board and the committee with an inspection report and send out violationnotices to those homeowners who are not in compliance for their response and cor-rection.

"Where do I come in," you ask? Your help is needed. Become a volunteer Cove-nant Enforcement Committee member to confirm that a violation has or has notbeen corrected. It's anonymous, involves little time - you can walk or drive by, and itwill provide greater accuracy and benefit for everyone.

Isn't that like snitching on my neighbors. some have asked? to ourselves and eachother. Think about the enjoyment you receive from living in such a pleasant environ-ment. Isn't it time you volunteer a little of your time and give something back to thecommunity you so enjoy?

Coyote Update .....~ Matt Stevens from the Department of Agriculture Wildlife Management Service has been working with us todeal with the coyote situation. He has removed a male and female coyote that frequented the southern greenbeltnext to Archbishop Murphy High School and the areas to the southwest. There have been no subsequent sightingsin that area. However, the large undeveloped areas to the south are likely habitats for more animals. One was seenattempting to cross 132nd. The new neighborhood being developed immediately south of Pioneer Trails will fur-ther reduce the places where coyotes can live. This may force more coyotes our way.

~ Another coyote has been observed near the basketball court off of 122ndThis coyote hasnot been captured. Matt Stevens believes that it is coming from the large wooded areas northand east of 116th• They are apparently hunting through the north greenbelt area. The plan nowis to continue reporting sightings. Matt will follow up on the reports and take action if theproblem persists. Trapping coyotes in our north greenbelt area exposes unleashed pets andchildren to the traps, so extra caution must be taken.

~ Coyotes will be an issue in the future. There is simply no chance of making them all goaway. Because of that we need to continue to be cautious and observant.

~ Be Careful!

~ Signs on trailheads warning of coyote danger will be removed. This does not mean that there are no coyotesaround.

~ Keep all pets leashed or contained in fenced yards. Supervise children in greenbelt areas. Eliminate outside foodsources such as pet food, composted food scraps, and bird feeders. These attract squirrels and rats, and coyoteshunt where these rodents are present. Don't allow children to play in the large wooded areas, particularly in thesouthwest greenbelt. It is believed that a den was in this area. Dens are well hidden. It would be dangerous tocome upon one because the coyotes are very defensive and will attack if threatened.

Please continue to report sightings to the PTHOA Board Member at

425-315-2405 so we can monitor the situation.

No Dumping Please!!!Please remember that yard waste should be disposed of in the green recycle bins.

The greenbelt is not the place to dispose of grass clippings or tree and bush trimmings from yards.

If you have a little room left in your recycle bin, you might want to add debris from the greenbelt or trails.

Thank you for making a difference in our community.

Let's Keep Our Children Safe!Did you know there is a Snohomish County Leash Law?

There is a $250 fine for dogs off leash in non-designated areas.

Please note that there are no off leash areas in Pioneer Trails. Some dogs have been off leash in the play-ground/ soccer area while children were present.

Our children's safety is most important.
