Network Overview - WAN
Connectivity will be by :
Eircom BIP connection to hub sites at most venues
Backup via leased line or ISDN to hub sites

Eircom BIP?
Eircom BIP is an MPLS/IP VPN network.
All connections are to the “cloud”
We then connect hub sites to the cloud via high speed lines

Standard sites:
Standard sites will have simple single switch LANs
Non Standard sites:
A variety of technologies will be used including ADSL, LRE, Coax, Fibre.

Traffic shaping will be used to ensure that in failover situation critical traffic gets through.
