Pastor Pheonia Laverne

Pastor Pheonia is a Life Coach, Author, Worship Leader, Motivational Speaker, Talk Show Host, Mum of 3, with a grandson and daughter in-law and is a prophetic, healing and deliverance Minister, She is the Director of Kingdom Builders Fellowship Ministries, a Missionary to Panama, Zimbabwe, Uganda, England, Bahamas and Australia. She has Theology and Pastoral counseling degrees, she served on 4 Combat War Tours for the United States Army. Pastor P has Pastored over 4 churches and now serves as an Assistant Pastor and Music Director on Staff @ Shepherds House Durham, NC. Pastor P's Moto is "Win Souls".

Dr. and Rev Dr. Mucherera

Rev. Dr. and Dr. Mucherera are parents of 2 and are dedicated to couples ministry. Dr. Bertha M. Mucherera, MSW is an Alumni of University of Louisville and University of Denver. She worked for 8 years as a Federal Consultant with JBS International as a Federal State Reviewer for the Children’s Bureau. She specializes in attachment and bonding issues, child and brain development, adult parenting attachment styles, and prevention of child neglect and she is working on starting a program for children in foster care and their biological parents. Reverend Dr. Tapiwa Mucherera is a

UMC Pastor, and Professor of Pastoral Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary. He has a Ph.D. in Religion and Theological Studies from the University of Denver and Iliff School of Theology, a M.Div., an MA in Pastoral Care and Counseling, a BA in Religion and Psychology, and a Diploma in Theology. He has served churches in Zimbabwe, Chicago, Iowa, Denver and Kentucky. He is involved in projects that support children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe and he was a counselor for survivors of the Columbine High School shootings and is passionate about Pastoral

Mr. Mark Daughtridge Mr. Mark Daughtridge is a member of Trinity UMC. He is a passionate supporter of Religious Coalition for a Nonviolent Durham. Mark runs, climbs mountains and caves as a hobby, to inspire and raise funds for the needy.

Mr. Otis Hardy

Mr. Otis Hardy is a member of First UMC in Cary. A highly sought after speaker who was given two life sentences in 1979 and was pardoned by Governor Jim Hunt in 2000

He was led to Christianity by a prison guard. Through faith and transformation he became a prison Trustee and a pastry chef in the governors mason. President Bush honored him in 2002. He currently ministers to persons living with poverty, drugs and gang violence.

Rev Dr. Tammy White Rodham

Rev. Dr. Tammy White Rodman is a mother of 2 and grandmother of 3, an Alumni of NCCU and Shaw University and has a Doctorate in Christian Education and Urban Ministries from United Theological Seminary in Ohio. She was ordained in 2009 through Yates Baptist Association. She is the Founder/Director The Sanctuary Outreach Ministry, Founding member of Excelsior Charter School and served as President for Durham Interfaith Hospitality Network. Rev Dr. Tammy is instrumental in community Christian outreach and is also known for ministering to victims of abuse.

Reverend & Dr. Chikoore

Rev & Dr. Chikoore are Associate Pastors at Lovers Lane Dallas Texas. They Pastored rural and large urban churches in Zimbabwe and were appointed to the Bishops office as Director of Ministries and District Superintendent of the Harare East Zimbabwe. They founded Shepherds House United Methodist Church in 2004 Dr. Marjory Chikoore holds a BA in Education from UZ, MBA Florida Metropolitan, M-div Hood Theological Seminary, MSW Baylor University and PHD in Psychology from Graduate Theological Foundation. She is an accomplished speaker and musician. Reverend Chris Chikoore holds a Diploma in Theology from UTC Harare, B.A. Honors Religious Studies UZ, and M-div, Asbury Seminary. They are Parents to two children Tsitsi Sithole and Tadiwanashe and proud grandparents above all they

are loyal servants of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Music Minister/Artist Tembalami

Tembalami is a contemporary gospel artist born in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. He started singing in church at 11. He is known for his chart toping hits “Tomurumbidza/Trading My Sorrows”, “Mhanya”, “Handidzokere Shure” and “Bayethe” on the Power FM, FM Top 20 and Star FM charts. He has at least 300 000+ views on YouTube and 37000 on Buddie Beatz. His philosophy is “loving God & People”, stopping injustice, speaking for the voiceless and providing hope. To Tembalami music is beyond a career, it’s a calling to touch and positively impact hearts and make a brighter day for all one smile at a time.

Meet Shepherd’s House Pastors

Rev John Gumbo

Reverend John Gumbo is the senior

Pastor at Shepherd’s House UMC and

was born in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe. He

is married to Mrs. Violet Gumbo, and

has four children and ten

grandchildren. He attended the

Baptist Theological Seminary of

Zimbabwe and Southern Eastern

Baptist Theological Seminary Wake

Forest, North Carolina. He pastored

at Mashava Baptist Church and Tsitsi

Baptist Church and also served as

Chairperson for Ministers Fraternal

Baptist Pastor Conference, and

Zvishavane Homeless Ministry in

Zimbabwe.

Rev Amanda Wilson

Rev. Amanda Wilson is grateful to have been appointed to Shepherd’s House UMC as Associate Pastor since 2008, first with Rev. Chikoore and currently with Rev. Gumbo. She is passionate about community and children ministry. She enjoys helping people of all ages grow in discipleship. Rev. Amanda also provides counseling to community residents through her practice, New Journey Counseling. She holds an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and an MSW from Rutgers. She gives thanks for her wonderful husband and daughter.
