ABOUT USSuperstars Holiday Clubs programme for the Summer will be running from Thursday 22nd Julyuntil Friday 27th August 2021. Orford Jubilee Hub and Navigation Road Holiday Camps willbe also running from Tuesday 31st Aug until Friday 3rd September. Currently we have 13 sitesrunning this Summer and a Summer play scheme.

We will continue to provide the already popular Art Club, Trampolining, Tennis, and Lego Clubto incorporate children in primary school and upwards. Superstars take pride in providing eachand every child with an extensive range of enjoyable sports and dance programmes, whereno other provider offers.

Every member of staff at Superstars are DBS enhanced checked and have extensive knowledgeof the activity they deliver. We ensure that your child's day is structured and engaged in a safeenvironment. Fun is the focus, and all the children will be encouraged to make friends and joinin, after all it is their holiday break from school! Many of our coaches also have experience workingin primary schools and high schools and fully understand what children of this age require.Superstars provides the best staffing levels of any holiday club provider in the North West.

Louise Nicholson, the owner, founder and creator of Superstars is a board member of a careeracademy which supports young people, offering work experience opportunities in order toenhance their CV on their career path. Furthermore, she offers university students the excitingprospect of being involved in mentoring, internship and so much more.

HOW TO BOOKWe have an online booking system which gives us an electronic register for all our sessionsso we only take bookings online. All bookings along with payments go through:superstars.class4kids.co.uk/campsPlease remember to only make a booking when you have the means to pay. No provisionalbookings are accepted.

Please ensure that you are booking the correct camp venue.

Once booking has been made, check your emails to ensure you have booked your child on thecorrect sessions. Email [email protected] for any amendments at the timeof booking so we can rectify any amendments. Please note our exchange and refund policy,as we cannot rectify after the time has passed.

We will only accept a cancellation and exchanges as follows. Unfortunately due to confirmingstaff availability to work and secure their availability after this time so please respect this policyas it is well advertised.

Please remember to send your child with the following:

• A packed lunch - please be aware that some children may have a nut allergy so please avoidsending nut products. In the event that we have a child with an air bourne nut allergy, youwill be informed by email to not send Nut products in any form.

Drop off at your chosen centre. Any tuck shop money, or Art Clubmoney if running that week, is to be inside an envelope with thechilds name on and any details they need to know (ie. Tom Smith,Tuck Money, Wednesday and Thursday). Staff on drop off willask the child what they would like to do for the day, so make surethey know what to ask for. Children will take part in small games,meet their coach for the day, use the playbag.

Film Time (only films with a U certificate will be shown) or childrencan play dodgeball. Tidying up the centre and gathering in all thechildren’s property.

Any children left at this time will have paid £3 per child for beingleft at this time. Film time will carry on along with Uno or cardgames.

If a child is not picked up by 18.00 parents MUST directly pay thecoach £5 per 15 minutes as coaches are covering this in their owntime, regardless of the reason why the parent is late.

Superstars boasts an extensive range of sports for your child. Every day, four of thesports will be available to the children. We purposely rotate the four sports, so thatnew sports are delivered every day throughout the whole time. Furthermore, thevariety provides the children with a wider knowledge of each sport. This allows themto make the choice to pursue it further whether that is in holiday clubs or outsideproviders.

DANCE HOLIDAY CLUBOur dance coaches deliver high quality sessions which cover a range of disciplines.Every session develops the children through games and predetermined routinescreated by the coach beforehand.

FOOTBALL PROGRAMMEScott Williams, who is a full time member of staff and has FA level 3 in coachingfootball, has created our football programme. The table below shows a typical structureof a week at our football holiday camp.

SPECIALIST ACTIVITIES

TENNIS

Tennis has become increasingly popularwith children. The course, that will be taughtthrough fun games (such as jail) andstructured drills, will introduce and developchildren in these main aspects of the sport:

• Serving• Net work• Forehand and backhand shots• Tactics• Rules of the sport

These are now all booked separately (see page 2 & 3 for how to book and pay).

LEGO CLUB

Superstars Sports has purchased a wideand extensive range of Lego from theeducation department.

Each day the children will be given adifferent theme of the day and varioustasks to perform to build their masterpiece.The tasks are there to capture the child’simagination.

TRAMPOLINING (only camp to be booked separately)

Trampolining courses will introduce and develop children in the following: Landings, Jumps,Stopping, Twists, along with Health and Safety.

Children will be organised into AM or PM sessions by the coach so each child will get halfa days trampolining. Children will take part in elite sports or dance at other times.

Please make sure your child is wearing either a top (with no buttons or zips and no jewelleryto be worn) that can be tucked in along with shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms that haveno buttons, zips etc. All children must wear socks.

Trampolining is only available at Broomfields Leisure Centre and Culcheth High School.

ART CLUB (£3 extra paid on morning of drop off)

Theme - Buildings and Vehicles

Each day children will have the opportunity to work with different materials to deliver someart pieces around our buildings and vehicles theme. Children will use clay, cutting andpasting along with mod roc to produce their artwork. All the materials are supplied bySuperstars for a daily fee of £3 which is paid directly to the coach at your venue on the dayof the session. On top of this, there will be other materials readily available for your childto create their very own masterpiece.

Please ensure that your children are sent to this club in clothes that are suitable when usingpaint, glue and other art materials. Please note, there is a £3 per child per day charge,payable to the coaches in the morning for the materials provided.

Superstars Sports Club are experts in providing unique, fun andactive Sports and Dance Parties for children aged from 3 onwards.

There are a variety of sports and dance sessions which can beseleted from the list below. The party will be tailored to meet youand your child’s requirements. Our main aim is to deliver a partysession where everyone can join in the fun and to make the day asmemorable as possible for you and your child.

We provide a two week trial, and before moving ontoour monthly subscription of £25 per month.

Superstars Football Development Academy programme is designed tocomplement local clubs both at grassroots and professionallevel; offering players additional training sessions tosupplement individual development.

The programme is open to players aged 5-14 years. It is ourintention to continue developing the Superstars FootballDevelopment programme to all children in our region, we believethat every child attending our centres will dramatically improveand given time we are confident that we will produce players ofoutstanding quality to improve all grassroot football clubs.

We have devised a coaching syllabus covering:• Individual techniques• Collective techniques• Tactical and position specific training

Our programme will lead to the development of players who play aspecific style based on a sound technical base that allows individualexpression, players who can receive in tight spaces under pressure,can play quick combinations, can dominate opponents in 1v1situations and be tactically flexible in order to find space.

We have a small coaching team of excellent coaches and we are verycommitted to providing the best and safest coachingenvironment possible. All coaches are FA qualified, first aidqualified hold the FA safeguarding certificate and have beenpolice checked before starting to work with us.

PARENT INFORMATION FOR HOLIDAY CLUBSWe accept children aged from children in reception year starting primary school inSeptember 2021 onwards up to 14 years of age.

RegistrationDrop off is strictly between 08.00-09.30 (or 08.15-09.30 at Navigation Rd)No parent under any circumstances is allowed on site.Packed lunch and drinks Please make sure your child's packed lunch has lots of small items please. Send themwith a refillable water bottle so they can fill up during the day. At every centre thereis access to drinking water. We do not allow children to have fizzy drinks ,Lucozade,or Powerade. We will be running a tuck shop in the afternoon break at our centres.When you drop your child off in the morning please leave any tuck money with thecoaches on sign in, in an envelope for £1 per bag. We will offer either a pick n mixbag, vegaratian or Kosher options.

Clothing and equipmentAll children must be wearing clothing that is suitable for the activity they have chosento do. Parents are encouraged to ensure that their children are wearing comfortablefootwear which is suitable for the sports and dance camps (trainers etc.) Superstarsmust stress that Heelys cannot be worn at any time as they are not suitable for sportand can cause damage to sports hall flooring.

Electrical EquipmentNo electrical equipment such as mobile phones, tablets are allowed at any of ourcentres. Please do not allow your child to bring said items to our centres due to itbeing a major infringement on safeguarding. If a member of staff are aware that thereare such items you will be asked to take them home with you.

Attendees Health and Medication AdministrationAll children must be in general good health and free from infectious illness or diseaseto attend the Holiday Club. All medication must be clearly labelled with the childname , dosage required, and when the child needs the next dose. Any medicationwithout this information cannot be administered. All up to date Covid guidelines willbe emailed nearer the time.

PARENT INFORMATION FOR HOLIDAY CLUBSCamp informationWe always make every effort to ensure the camps runs on time but there may bedelays, due to circumstances beyond our control. In this case we will complete theCamps as soon as reasonably possible, and in the event we have to cancel a Campyou will be offered an alternative place or a full refund. We reserve the right to modifya Camp due to adverse weather conditions, low attendance or other unforeseencircumstance and will notify you of such modifications as soon as possible.

Behaviour issuesWe will try to resolve and work with everyone to make sure that all children have thebest time possible whilst attending the Superstars Camps. However we reserve theright to remove a child form the Camp or to refuse admittance should we deem itnecessary to do so. This includes where a child does not comply with the safety rulesand advice, does not act responsibly and courteously, is disruptive, does not participate,behaves in a way that we deem to be inappropriate in the circumstances, fails torespect or affects the enjoy- ment of the camp for the other children.

Lost propertyAll lost property is left on site until the end of the holiday camp period. When you aresending your child with any item, the child is responsible for that item and NOT THESTAFF. Superstars Sports Club accepts no responsibility for any property that is broughtto the camps by yourself and child. We will do our utmost to find any lost items.

ComplaintsWe take complaints very seriously at Superstars and have a complaints procedurethat is available on request. If you have any concerns your first point of contact is theHead of Centre, who will more than likely be able to resolve the problem. If you needto take it further please email [email protected] where it will be investigatedand we will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.
