specialized in modular ponToon soluTions for various purposes and applicaTions
MPS is the exclusive manu-facturer of MPS container pontoons and is the sole licensee of the patented teklock® coupling system. these form the basis of our flexible and modular pontoon assembly system.
MPS container pontoons and TEKLOCK® coupling systems have been designed and certified for use on inland waterways and in coastal areas. Only a crane and several basic tools are all that are needed to assemble a container pontoon in the water.
MPS container pontoons can be combined or assembled in virtually limitless ways for a wide variety of purposes. We have also developed an extensive range of standard products based on our experience in the marketplace. This allows us to provide you with a fully fitted work platform.
MPS specializes in container pontoon solutions that can be deployed rapidly at competitive rates.

purposes and
MPS has new and used contain-er pontoons in stock, available for rental, purchase, lease or a combination of these options.
Container pontoons can be assembled while afloat. If specific modifications are required, then these can be designed and developed in our own engineering department and then manufactured. This allows us to provide solutions for both short-term and long-term projects.
MPS has a diverse network of national and international customers operating in the dredging, construction and offshore industries that use our container pontoons as free-floating, stabilized, lifting or self-propelled work platforms, or as support and anchor-handling vessels.
MPS strives to meet the needs and
requirements of all its customers.
Our pragmatic approach, expertise
and in-house manufacturing facilities
allow us to provide creative solutions
and to guarantee high quality levels,
short delivery times and reliable
service.
applications.

Robust manufacture, watertight
compartments and the use of the
TEKLOCK® coupling system make
assembled container pontoons
ideal for highly demanding
projects.
MPS provides options for fully customized container pontoons to meet all your specific project requirements.
MPS pontoon design, dimensioning and outfitting
is carried out in compliance with ISO standards. This
guarantees simple handling and affordable shipment
to remote and restricted-access locations with limited
facilities.
Standard container pontoons can be fitted out with
numerous systems and equipment for carrying out
specialized projects. For example, MPS is able to provide
hydraulic and/or stabilizing spud leg systems for all
standard depths. Installation of one or more hydraulic
and/or stabilizing spud leg systems makes container
pontoons ideal for pile-driving, drilling, construction or
dredging operations.
The TEKLOCK® co upling system make assembled container pontoons i deal for highly demanding projects.
APPLICATIONS
54 specialized in modular ponToon soluTions for various purposes and applicaTionsmodular ponToon sysTems b.v.
Assembly can be performed by our own experienced technicians or by the customer. A crane and several basic tools are all that are needed.
Twelve coupling points are available on each side
of the container pontoon. Couplings are located in a
watertight compartment that is accessible via a flush
manhole. Assembly is simplified by placing a lead pin
in the uppermost corner of the pontoon’s long side.
During container pontoon assembly, the lead pin
is inserted into the corresponding female coupling
element on the adjacent pontoon.
Bolts on the male coupling elements are then inserted
into the corresponding female coupling elements on
the adjacent pontoon and then tightened using a
regular impact wrench.
Once all the container pontoons have been
assembled, each bolt on the male coupling element
is pre-tensioned/tightened using a torque wrench to
achieve a clamping force of 280 kN.
COUPLING SYSTEM
Assembly / TEKLOCK®
our special-purpose, patented teklock® coupling system has been designed for in-water container pontoon assembly. Any configuration can be assembled quickly using a crane and several basic tools.
The TEKLOCK® coupling consists of separate, high-
grade components that do not form a fixed part of the
container pontoon itself. It is comparable to a nut-and-
bolt connection. The unique coupling system is simple
and easy to maintain or replace.
Pre-tensioning is the principle behind the TEKLOCK®
coupling system in combination with the number of
connectors that are applied, it is extremely suitable for
creating shock-proof and virtually seamless assemblies
capable of absorbing high dynamic loads.

PRODUCTS
MPS has new and used container pontoons in stock, available for rental, purchase, lease or a combination of these options.
MPS container pontoons are fabricated from A-grade shipbuilding steel, are Bureau Veritas certified and are available in lengths of 20-foot and 40-foot, and depths of 4, 6, 6.5 and 8 feet. Container pontoon dimensions comply with ISO standards for standard sea containers. This has the advantage that container pontoons can be shipped easily, quickly and affordably to virtually any location by land, water or rail.
Hydraulic and/or stabilizing spud leg systems are available for all depths. Standard hydraulic power units can be used to power spud leg systems.
They can also be used to supply power to any other deck equipment present such as:- mooring winches;- deck cranes;- ramps;- propulsion units.
