RUN CRANDIC powered by the University of Iowa Community Credit Union is a unique athletic and social event that brings the Corridor together. The route follows the CRANDIC train line along Highway 965 through Swisher, North Liberty and into Coralville. The half marathon picks up in North Liberty and the 5K in Coralville. All three routes will end at historic Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. RUN CRANDIC is made possible through a partnership with Corridor Running Club, Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance and Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. All proceeds ofthe event will benefit the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Community School Districts.

The Nile Kinnick statue on Krause Family Plaza will serve as the fi nish line marker for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k. Participants and their families will have access to the South End Zone fi eld for photos and to wave at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Post-race water, electrolyte drinks and snacks will be offered at the fi nish line. Kinnick Stadium is located at 825 Evashevski Drive in Iowa City.

Spectators will have access to Kinnick through Sections 115 and 116 only. Family and friends of partipants can wait for runners on Krause Family Plaza. Plan to connect here before heading over to the Post-Race Party to celebrate. Big Grove Brewery will open at 10 AM for the Post-Race Party.

Kinnick Stadium Finish Line ParkingPublic parking will be allowed in University lots 43N, 43W and 49N (see map on next page). These are free lots. Note that there will be a University of Iowa Baseball game on Sunday, April 29th with attendees utilizing the same space. Parking in these lots will be fi rst-come, fi rst-serve. In the event that these lots are full, please utilize public parking ramps at the University of Iowa Hospital, available at an hourly rate.

Big Grove Brewery ParkingOrganizers encourage spectators to utilize the free shuttle from Kinnick Stadium to Big Grove Brewery. The shuttle will operate from 12 - 5 PM, picking riders up at the Iowa City Bus Stop on Hawkins Drive near Krause Family Plaza. Parking will be allowed in Kinnick lots until 7 PM on Sunday. Parking is limited at Big Grove Brewery.

SPECTATOR PARKING RUNNER ARRIVAL TIMESLot 44 in Cedar Rapids near the start will be free and open on Saturday for the Pre-Race Party and on Sunday during the day. Parking is free of charge around downtown Cedar Rapids and in the NewBo neighborhood on the weekends.

Parking in Iowa City is available in Lots 43N, 43W and 49N, shown in blue on the map below. Parking in UIHC Ramp 3 is also available at an hourly rate. All cars must be removed from University lots by 7 PM on Sunday. Note that attendees of an Iowa Baseball game scheduled for 1 PM on April 29th will have access the same lots.

CHEER ZONESDue to the high number of participants and the location of the start lines, spectators will not be able to accompany participants at the start line or finish line. These areas will only be accessible to participants displaying their event-issued bib numbers and event staff with proper credentials.

We recommend that spectators support runners elsewhere on the course and meet runners after the race outside of Kinnick Stadium in the designated Runner Reunite area. Recommended spectator viewing areas are listed below. While RUN CRANDIC is not a closed course, organizers encourage all spectators cheering along the way to avoid crossing the course to ensure runner and spectator safety.

Wilson Avenue Hy-Vee Cheer Zone (Marathon only): Join Wilson Avenue Hy-Vee to cheer on runners up Bowling Street around Mile 1 of the marathon. Runners are expected between 6:30 and 7:00 AM.

Parking: Hy-Vee lot Note: The Bowling Street entrance to the parking lot will be closed. Please enter the parking lot from Wilson Avenue.

DES Employment Group Cheer Zone (Marathon only): Join DES Employment Group to cheer on the runners between Miller Avenue and Kirkwood Court on Kirkwood Boulevard near the start. Runners are expected between 6:45 and 7:20 AM.

Parking: Panchero’s and Milio’s Sandwich parking lots on Kirkwood Boulevard Note: Runners will be in the southbound lane of Kirkwood Boulevard when arriving to the cheer zone area.

Cedar Rapids Prairie High School Cheer Zone (Marathon only): Join the Booster Club from Prairie High School along the eastbound lane of 76th Street to cheer on marathon runners as they head south. Runners are expected between 6:45 and 7:25 AM.

Parking: Prairie High School lot - enter from the south, using the entrance on Kirkwood Boulevard.

Swisher Block Party (Marathon only): The City of Swisher will host a Block Party near Mile 11 on Highway 965 featuring live music by Joshuah Forrest Payne, DJ Haunce, the Booster Club, American Legion Color Guard and the Men’s Club revving old cars. Runners are expected between 7:30 and 9:30 AM.

Parking: East side of Hwy 965 Suggested Route: Take I-380 to the North Liberty Exit and head east on Penn Street to Ranshaw Way, then turn north. This road turns into Hwy 965. The southbound lane of 965 will be closed from Wright Brothers Boulevard to Scales Bend Road.

Tin Roost Cheer Zone (Half Marathon only): Come give the runners an extra bit of inspiration near Mile 3 of the half marathon and enjoy brunch with Tin Roost. The restaurant will open at 8am; runners are expected between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.

Parking: Tin Roost parking lot Suggested route from start line: Head North on Kansas Avenue, turn right on Penn Street and right onto Community Way.

North Liberty Recreation Center Cheer Zone: Head to the North Liberty Recreation Center Parking Lot to support runners as they continue on to Coralville. The cheer zone will be open from 8:00 to 10:30 AM.

Parking: Surrounding business lots (not the North Liberty Community Center) Note: Half marathon runners will be passing through the Community Center lot onto Community Drive. Organizers recommend parking at CarePro or the businesses off Circle Drive and walking to the Community Center lawn. Runners will be crossing Cherry Street on the trail. Suggested Route: From Highway 965/Ranshaw Way, turn left onto Cherry Street. WATCH FOR RUNNERS. Turn left on Circle Drive.

National Advanced Driving Stimulator Cheer Zone: Drive runners to do their best by cheering them on at Mile 20.5 (7.5 Half Marathon). Runners are expected between 8:30 AM and 12:10 PM.

Parking: NDS parking lot Suggested Route: Highway 965/Ranshaw Way to Oakdale Boulevard. Turn left into the NDS parking lot.

Mercy Pediatric Clinic Cheer Zone: Come support runners as they take one of many hills on the route. Runners are expected between 8:30 AM and 12:15 PM.

Parking: Neighborhood streets adjacent to Glen Oaks Drive; the cheer zone will be located between Glen Oaks and Oakdale Ridge on Oakdale Boulevard. Suggested Route: Highway 965/Ranshaw Way to Oakdale Boulevard. Turn left on to Glen Oaks Drive. WATCH FOR RUNNERS along Oakdale Boulevard.

City of Coralville Cheer Zone: Stop by Kiddie Koral Park to see runners continue the run through Coralville. The cheer zone will be open from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Parking: Neighboring streets to Kiddie Koral Park (8th St, 10th and 11th Ave) Suggested Route: Take Oakdale Boulevard east, then right on 1st Avenue. Continue on 1st Avenue to turn right on 6th Street, then right on 4th Avenue and left on 7th Street. Park along 10th or 11th Avenues and walk north to the park. This route will take you around the route to alleviate traffic on 12th Avenue. Please note there is construction on 1st Avenue.
