MINING & EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRIES
Spintelligent’s Mining & Extractive Industry portfolio has a track record of over ten years, offering turnkey events in Africa’s mining regions. Infrastructure Partnerships for African Development (iPAD) launched in 2005 to address issues and challenges of the massive infrastructure requirements for profitable and sustainable mining operations in Africa, namely in one of Africa’s most endowed countries for natural resources, the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Spintelligent’s flagship mining and extractive industry events focus on DRC and Zambia, both richly endowed with coveted metal and mineral wealth. While copper production faces a number of key obstacles namely political risk, infrastructure and logistics, the DRC and Zambia’s Copperbelt is seen as a promising source of near-term growth for global copper production.
The portfolio’s events include iPAD DRC, iPAD DRC Oil & Gas Forum, Katanga Mining Week and CBM-TEC bring more than 3200 participants from 21 countries together annually. Representing the full mining value chain the event focus on infrastructure requirements for mining operations, risk management, transparency and legal and regulatory frameworks, power solutions for mining operations, sustainable mining and environmental management.
iPAD DRC and Katanga Mining Week in DRC and CBM-TEC in Zambia place mining professionals in the hub of Africa’s mining markets, providing access to the industry’s movers and shakers, facilitating partnerships and together finding solutions to infrastructure requirements and in doing so, these events have become synonymous with delivering success in the African mining and extractive sectors.
The Mining & Extractive Industry portfolio is supplemented by our training programmes and key industry publication Mining Review Africa and online portal MiningReview.com, produced in-house by the Spintelligents Publishing & Digital Media department.

AGRICULTURE
Agriculture is the newest addition to Spintelligent’s portfolio of conferences and exhibitions, with an ever growing collection of events in sub-Saharan Africa. The agriculture sector is regarded as one of the most critical industries for the African continent due to its economic potential, projected as a US$1 trillion industry in sub-Saharan Africa alone by 2030, and prospective contribution to long-term food security on a global scale.
Spintelligent’s agriculture events draw together agricultural professionals – from small farmers to commercial farming enterprises – and connect them with industry experts, leading global equipment and machinery suppliers, seed and agrochemical producers, irrigation and water management specialists, financial institutions and insurance provides, as well as key government and union officials.
The Agriculture portfolio has two distinct events in sub-Saharan Africa – Agribusiness East Africa, Tanzania, and Agritech Expo, Zambia.
Agribusiness East Africa is a conference with adjoined expo to showcase the latest product and solution innovations in the industry. The Agribusiness conference draws together leading industry professionals from the agricultural community to discuss the regional and global issues affecting agriculture in East Africa and find practical and economically viable solutions to address the challenges faced.
Agritech Expo was launched in conjunction with the Zambian National Farmers Union in 2014 as a joint venture to establish a leading business-to-business and business-to-government agricultural trade expo in Zambia. Agritech Expo differs from Agribusiness Congress in that it is an outdoor expo which enables the event to host live crop trials, demonstrations of agricultural machinery and irrigation equipment, dedicated arenas for combine harvester and sprayer demonstrations, technical farming workshops and over 100 exhibitors from across the agricultural spectrum all at one event.

Land Forces Africa facilitates decisions that will take African ground forces into the next generation. With long and short-term defence and security goals stating the need to be prepared for conventional warfare situations as well as humanitarian efforts on the continent, Land Forces Africa merges military across Africa, police and governmental bodies to explore roles and rules of engagement for bettering African security.
Land Forces East Africa, the biennial sister event to Land Forces Africa, focuses on regional defence and security challenges, capacity building and military funding alternatives. Land Forces East Africa approaches the tactical aspect of long-range force projection from East Africa, post-conflict reconstruction and development as well as protecting borders, people and natural resources through land, air and joint surveillance operations.www.spintelligent-training.com
