Not necessarily related in election,” ani PCSupt Ranier Idio, Regional Director.

“Sa no goons, meron kasing in active na na-identify natin dito based on historical data. Way back in 2013 naging active sila pero pagkatapos noon ay nagwatak-watak naman sila. So, wala tayong nakikitang threat coming from any partisan groups,” dagdag nito.

NALINTEG A SERBISYO

INTERNET DISASTER

Bumoto Ayon sa Tibok ng Puso at Dikta ng Konsenya Mo

Internet has become the highway of information and communication in our modern world. It is about the connectivity of electronic gadget like cellphone, laptop, desktop I phones and many more to get the much desired information. The world of interconnectivity is largely dependent upon internet signal wherever we are in the world. What do we get from a good internet signal? Primarily, business will get a good boost considering that business has evolved from traditional business dealing face to face transaction today you can get an item like book, accessories, gadget and others and be delivered right in your doorsteps through online transaction. You don’t have to bargain for a lower price if the item is already on sale. Research is made easier through the aid of unlimited source of information via internet. Student and professional researchers are relatively happy due to easier means of doing a research. Unlike many years ago, a researcher should consult the card catalogue of books in order to find a book material for research. This will take about 20 minutes or more to look for the book. It will take sometime to browse to find if something is worthwhile for the research. Whereas if we use the internet, just a click of a finger you will see material to support a research paper. Through certain application we can check for plagiarism or copying a previously published material and own it as your own. It revolutionized research methodology not only in our country but in the world as well. Task made lighter for household helpers because they can learn how to cook recipe through on line recipe. Musicians can learn how to manipulate and play instruments through electronic aid. Communications among people is a lot easier with skype, viber, email, facebook,, instagram and other applications. Isn’t not amazing that we can learn things from the net if and only when we have a good connection. Imagine one learns how to cook through the aid of internet. My nephew who is not a good cook learned several recipe from the internet and making good as self help cook.Searching for the whereabouts of friends is possible. Several years ago, it seem to be impossible. Finding route or direction

or location of a place one is not familiar with is easier through google application through instantstreetview.com .You see a lot has been simplified because of internet connectivity. Through such application,

you can easily see the real time location and images on the net. So you can find easily the place or address of a relative whom you wanted to visit. So how would life be without internet or the connection is rather slow? It is very embarrassing to read in the papers that Philippines has 3.64 MBS or megabyte per seconds internet speed and we are second to the last in the rank in Asia. Afghanistan being the last in Asia is really deplorable. Well that is given the fact that country is in a chaotic condition. But for the country to be next to Afghanistan, unbelievable. How would our country and business expect to attract investor and tourist to visit our country if this is how bad our connectivity? My friend who is working as a staff nurse in a government hospital in United Arab Emirates got pissed off in one of his vacation because he has a hard time accessing information from the internet due to a very slow connection. If a foreigner will experience this in our country he would probably say that our connectivity is so behind. Earlier I mentioned about the benefits of having an internet. On the downside of the issue, if we do not have an internet connection we will suffer from the failure to acquire up to date information. We will remain disconnected from the global community due to our inability to be connected to the rest of the world. Sometimes there is something good about not knowing something, as they say what you do not know won’t hurt you. But I believe I would rather know something and get hurt rather not knowing an issue at all. We cannot afford to lag behind other countries. The competition has gone global. It has become electronic in nature, to be at par with competitors.one has to upgrade or level up his or her services. Sometimes our culture is being compromised. We may change our ways of living due to influences that we assimilate, we may change our language or the food that we eat but we have to remember that we are uniquely Filipinos, we have a lot of values that cannot be change overnight. We may color our hair with chestnut brown but the reality remains, we are Filipinos with a thousand and one values that set us apart from the rest with or without internet.

Comeleaks Hotter Than Summer

As few days are only left before election, issues concerning Commission on Election(COMELEC) crop up and challenging the credibility and preparedness of the poll-governing body. Aside

from the question whether the new Vote Counting Machine(VCM) is much more reliable and credible than the PCOs machine, computer wizards have proven that there is a weak link on the commission itself byhackingtheirofficialwebsitefortwotimesalready.Leaksonprivateinformation of voters were revealed publicly. And this was done by a bored computer hacker only. COMELEC however assured that there is nothing to worry about the data revealed publicly since these are information that could also be seenon theironlineprecinctfinderandnotmuchinformation tohacksomeone’s bank account. That only the rich and famous are creating much ruckus to the said issue. But on second thought, government sites should have created the strongest wall of defense since the list of voters who will choose the next highestofficialsofthecountrywillbechosenbytheminfewdays.Whatif someone was manipulative enough to change data or information? Changing the precint area to vote or deleting names of voters on the list? Political candidates seem to have forgotten the blazing sun this summer because politics have become hotter. An aspiring public servant is admirable for he does not know whether he will win or lose and would do all the sacrifices towin and serve. In themidst of all the ridiculeto politicians,we should also remember to commend their sacrifices, their efforts to gain the trust of the public, spending time, energy and money to try their luck this election. Sometimes the toxic fumes of their opponent is more than enough to declare state of calamity. The least of their worries should be that they will be cheated during election through the VCM machine And so the least we could do is to have a clean election. Campaign may be hotter that summer and El Nino combined but nothing will hamper an honest election if everybody is doing their part to safeguard all factors that contributes to this endeavor. The El Nino was mitigated with the prayers of Oratio Emperata, proving its effectiveness when it was reminded to be prayed as a group in response to the dying land brought by long days with no rain. With prayers and vigilant action, this election will become bloodless, orderly and credible so the next leaders will lead Filipinos who believe in them and not tinted with doubt.

5OPINION & NEWS APRIL 1-15, 2016Diaryong TOTOO!

They also promised to help ensure the conduct of a free, honest, peaceful and credible election through their words, actions, commitment to abide by the tenets of the Constitution, election laws, rules and regulations and respect the integrity of the electoral process. The candidates for governor who joined the event were Samson Atluna, Atty. Eugene Balitang, Jonathan Cuyahon, Narciso Dunuan, Vice Governor Pedro Mayam-o and incumbent Governor Denis Habawel. For Board Members were Jeronimo Bimmohya, Federico Juguiad Jr., Robert Mangyao, James Tayaban and Julio Tindungan. There was no candidate for vice governor and congressman who participated but some sent their representatives. On the other hand, the voters also pledged to be responsible and principled citizens and will educate themselves and others about the issues at hand so that their votes will be meaningful and relevant in the exercise of their right of suffrage. They also pledge to vote for candidates who will abide by the rules on campaigning and candidates who by words and actions renounce violence, coercion, vote-buying and corruption as means to win the election.
