Sponsoring our LEGO exhibition will demonstrate your corporate responsibility values, creating a positive public image across a broad spectrum of Exeter’s community and beyond.

Not only are our collections of international significance and our temporary exhibitions award winning, but our ongoing community projects touch the lives of people with dementia, PTSD and refugee groups, to name but a few.

Each year, we entertain thousands of visitors as we explore deeper themes about the human condition, always with a view to highlight Exeter and Devon’s identity against the larger tapestry of global history.

To reinforce the community spirit of our diverse and remarkable city, we want to explore our shared history in a fun way that appeals to the masses.

We plan to host a contemporary LEGO exhibition chronicling the story of Exeter from the days of the dinosaurs to the near-future dreams of a greener city, specially created for RAMM by LEGO artist Warren Elsemore.

Accompanying this will be objects from RAMM’s collection, engagement opportunities and a rich carousel of accompanying events and activities, including playzones, trails and workshops. We would love you

to become a part of this history

For over 150 years, RAMM has been one of the building blocks of the city of Exeter, and it holds a special in the hearts of the local community

Such an ambitious exhibition brings with it expenses beyond RAMM’s capacity.

We need to raise £35,000 and have a variety of sponsorship packages (overleaf) to help us reach our goal of revealing Exeter’s history to its community and visitors.

1. Jurassic Exeter

RAMM’s famous Ichthyosaur will be brought back to life in the exhibition’s first model, depicting him in the water with the volcanic cliffs of Jurassic Exeter in the background.

5. 18th-century quayside

Exeter’s quay thrived in the golden age of the city’s international wool industry, and we will be bringing to life the hubbub of its Custom House, warehouses, wharfs and boats.

2. Roman Baths

Exeter’s Roman baths, now buried beneath Cathedral Green, will be revealed once more, complete with toga-wearing figures, cut-away sections showing adjoining rooms with hypocausts beneath, and links to RAMM’s Roman collection.

6.Victorian Exeter

What better way to show-off Exeter’s Victorian ingenuity than a representation of the gothic Royal Albert Memorial Museum itself, complete with cut-away sections to reveal our original galleries.

3. Exeter’s Norman Castle

The traditional motte and bailey castle that once overlooked medieval Exeter has long since gone, however our LEGO model will recreate it in all its splendour.

7. World War II

One of Exeter’s darker chapters will be told in an action-packed depiction of the aftermath of bombing by German forces during World War II, complete with AARP wardens, firemen, police and assorted emergency vehicles.

4. Tudor Exeter

Exeter’s iconic House that Moved will relocate in LEGO form to a bustling Tudor street complete with merchants, animals and carts.

8. Modern / Near-future Exeter

The final model will depict the exciting redevelopment of the St Sidwells Street leisure complex, and the city’s aspirations for a sustainable future.

Help to reinforce the community spirit of the UK’s ‘number one city for quality of life’ by making its history accessible to all.

Inspire the next generation to build their dreams by sponsoring an exhibition focused on nurturing creativity and building skills.

Encourage team building, social development and wellbeing among children, young and old, with a medium that has proven therapeutic qualities.

Support Exeter’s rich cultural spirit while putting your brand in front of thousands of potential customers.
