The Division of Occupational Psychology Annual Conference is the largest annual gathering of occupational psychologists in the UK and provides a major showcase for practitioners and academics to present their latest ideas.

Our vision for the DOP Annual Conference is to be the conference of choice for all psychologists focusing on the world of work. We see the conference as providing an opportunity for these professionals to obtain insight into current ideas, discussions and research in the area, and network with others in the field.

What is the DOP Annual Conference?

Over 250 organisations were represented at the 2019 DOP Annual Conference, including academic institutions (UK and international), well-known occupational psychology consultancies and independent consultants, as well as major employers of occupational psychologists (in both the public and private sector). In total, there are over 400 delegates at the Conference.

The conference will primarily give you an opportunity to meet occupational psychologists, as well as academics and postgraduates of psychology with particular interest in application of psychology to the workplace. The lecture programme includes internationally renowned keynote speakers. Additionally, there will be a mix of workshops, symposia, individual papers and posters presented, plus social activities and networking opportunities. The event will also be publicised on the Society website and in The Psychologist, the monthly publication sent to all members of the society.

Who attends the DOP Annual Conference?

The DOP conference attracts practitioners and academics from around the world as well as top keynote speakers and presentations on recent research.

The 2020 conference theme is ‘The Practice of Science: Occupational Psychologists at Work’

Our DOP conference theme for 2020 recognises our critical selling point as a profession is that we are rooted in a scientific approach and in a body of scientific knowledge. In turn, our practice of this science contributes to its development by testing theory and providing ongoing evidence. The content of conference sessions will demonstrate awareness of these aspects and consider the variety of ways in which we can continue to develop our profession, from science through to practice.

Keynote SponsorThere will be at least five keynote speakers over the three days, and this sponsorship offers you the opportunity to sponsor their talks. Your organisation will be linked to their talk throughout publicity for the conference and at the conference.
