Welcome Prospective SponsorsThe Institution of Surveyors NSW and the Association of Consulting Surveyors NSW would like to invite you to participate as a sponsor for the 2014 NSW Awards for Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information.

This will be the seventeenth year that the awards have been organised. Events such as this are only possible with the support of sponsors. The NSW Awards presentation dinner has become recognised as a major event on the calendar. Entry to the awards is promoted widely across the industry through the public, private and educational sectors.

• A Call for Entries brochure is distributed through the Azimuth, ACS NSW Quarterly Newsletter, on the ISNSW and ACS NSW websites and by other associated industry bodies early in the year. Both magazines include a photo montage of the event after the presentations. Winners are encouraged to advise local media of their awards and when doing so acknowledge sponsors.

• A Showcase Book is printed to recognise the previous year’s winners and showcase the range of entries received and of course provide an opportunity for our sponsors to be recognised. These books are distributed widely throughout the industry.

• Photographs taken on the night are made available to our sponsors for their own promotion.

Individual Awards

Professional of the Year AwardPreference is given to those nominees who have been particularly active in their promotion and support of the profession in the last twelve months. The nominations should also detail any history of professional and community involvement over the years.

Young Professional of the Year AwardThe Young Professional of the Year must be under 35 years of age on 1 July 2013. Nominations are considered by the judging panel. The Young Professional must have been particularly active in their promotion and support for the profession in the last twelve months and have a history of professional and community involvement over the years.

Tafe Student of the YearRepresentatives from the TAFE system are invited to nominate the top TAFE student from New South Wales currently studying a Surveying or Mapping course to be awarded the TAFE Surveying Student of the Year Award.

University Student Project of the YearUniversity students resident in New South Wales are invited to submit their final year projects for consideration.

Journalist of the YearThe New South Wales Awards for Excellence in Surveying & Spatial information Committee will accept nominations and consider recognising a journalist who has contributed to the promotion of the profession in local or national media.
