FROM ATHENS TO AMSTERDAM: INFORM 2019 SYMPOSIUM IS COMING!We are proud to announce our INFORM 2019 Symposium will be taking place September 1-2, 2019 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. With significant new research and best practices on the horizon, INFORM 2019 promises to be our largest and most informative conference ever!
Here are three reasons why you should participate in INFORM 2019:GLOBAL REACH - 2018 Symposium in Athens, Greece was a tremendous success, attracting
more than 125 participants for this year’s scientific presentations. Researchers representing 24 countries, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the United States, proving
once again that INFORM is truly living up to its name, the International Network for Fatty Acid Oxidation Research and Management.
CUTTING-EDGE RESEARCH – In Athens, our Keynote Plenary Speaker Professor Jung-Ja Kim from the Medical College of Wisconsin/Department of Biochemistry, created an excitement with her lecture on “The Structural Biology of FAO”. Professor Kim’s topic served to launch additional discussions after her lecture and throughout the evening networking reception. Eight Plenary lectures and seven grant recipient presentations
were selected from presented abstracts to round out each session. An interactive and lively poster session closed out INFORM 2018, which consisted of 25 posters and three junior investigators who were given the opportunity to present their research in a less formal setting at their poster during this session.
HUMAN IMPACT – The INFORM Symposium creates hope for families affected by FAOD. The educational endeavors brought together the best and brightest researchers and physicians from around the world to discuss cutting edge research and best and new practices in fatty acid oxidation disorders and each presentation was followed by a question and answer discussion. These Q&A discussions focused on each session’s topics
as they pertained to meeting clinical care needs of patients, encouraging conversations on the causes, diagnosis, and management of inborn errors of fatty acid oxidation.
