practicality of a scooter. As with all the Max-series

scooters, the reality turned out even better than the dream, making X-MAX an

instant best-seller.

The genius starts with the fuel-injected engine: an urgent and responsive water-

cooled four-stroke with the maximum performance available in this category.

X-MAX handles brilliantly too. Large diameter tyres and a stiff chassis conspire to

provide steering that is as crisp as the first bite of an apple.

Cutting edge performance and class leading storage are wrapped in bodywork that

is as sharp and stylish as it is practical. Twin headlights set high in the front fairing

give the X-MAX a striking presence and make it stand out from the other traffic.

Dimensions The X-MAX is very stable thanks to a large 15"

front tyre and a 14" rear. These are mated to a

hydraulic disc brake on each wheel: 267mm on

the front and 240mm at the back.

Special details make the X-MAX stand out: stylish

elements like the red back-light on this season’s

revised instrument panel, and practical touches

like the protective hand shields and windscreen.

X-MAX is designed to be shared – the passenger

not only has a large seat, but also flip-out foot-

pegs and a comforting aluminium grab-rail.

Whenever you take a break from the

excitement of riding then both crash helmets –

even full-face ones – can be securely stored

below the seat.

the Majesty 125.

Yamaha’s fully-automatic 125cc water-cooled four-stroke engine provides the

freedom. It is quiet, clean and quick enough to power a superb city tool, but it

also has enough performance to take you on the open road and expand your

horizons.

Luxury comes with the Majesty’s ride quality. A roomy seating position ensures

limousine-like comfort for both rider and passenger. A revised grab rail enhances

the feeling of security for your pillion. Telescopic forks and twin rear shock

absorbers ensure a smooth ride and typically ‘Yamaha’ handling precision.

The accessible 774mm seat height combined with an upright riding position

provides excellent visibility through the traffic.

The Majesty 125 utilises effective disc brakes

on each wheel: 220mm front and 190mm rear.

Weather protection is superb thanks to full leg-

shields and a large screen integrated into the

handlebars.

Below the long dual-seat is a storage bay

capable of accommodating one full-face and

one open-face helmet.

The Majesty also has a regal electrical specifi-

cation featuring powerful twin headlights and

comprehensive analogue/digital instrumenta-

tion which has been updated for 2007. Features

include fuel and water temperature gauges,

indicator and hi-beam headlight warnings and

a large, clear speedometer.

In order to better protect your scooter the

electrical system is also pre-wired for a Yamaha

accessory alarm system.

Cygnus X

CYGNUS XEFFICIENCY

If you like the compact size of a 50cc scooter but demand more performance

then the Cygnus X is for you. At 116kg it’s the lightest scooter in Yamaha’s

125cc range and as nimble as a ballet dancer. These attributes make Cygnus X

perfect to tackle the modern city’s never-ending traffic without raising a sweat.

The air-cooled 4-stroke engine of the Cygnus X has been freshly updated for

2007 with the addition of electronic fuel injection. This makes it cleaner, more

responsive and more economical than ever before. Of course the Cygnus X still

has electric starting and ‘twist and go’ automatic

transmission, so riding is effortless. With both a

centre-stand and side-stand it is also easy to park.

This year’s Cygnus X features updated styling,

including a new analogue/digital instrument panel.

What remains unchanged its ability to restore your

freedom and save you time. This is what marks out

the Cygnus X as such excellent value.

Cygnus X has several features that make it

stand ahead of its competitors. The use of twin

rear shock absorbers improves handling, as do

light cast aluminium 12” wheels. A 216mm

hydraulic front disc and large 150mm rear

drum brakes make slowing down smoother

The Cygnus X is also very practical, with
