Introduction
• Name is Danny Turley.
• Managing Director of Performa Sports Ltd.
• Over 7 years experience working as Performance Analyst for the Armagh GAA team.
Common methods and associated problems
• Notational Analysis through old age technique of pen and paper.
• Post game stats report.• Post game video analysis.• 2 – 3 player video compilations.• Motivational videos.
The Problems (the pain…)
• Time – current process too slow and the analysis data was not being used effectively – key information should be available to help coaches plan their next training session.
• Pen and paper method was too vague, and hard to feedback down to the sideline where the information counts.
Anything else???
• Making Changes During a Game• Analysing technical proficiency• Analysing Opposition • Performance Analysis on Training Pitch• What is realistic for your school/club??
