With Marked Tires, Pirelli wants to identify a “tailor made” tire born to equip a specific vehicle as an original spare-part. To ensure the identification of OE tires as genuine parts, more and more prestige and premium car makers are putting their marking on the tire shoulder area.

Dedicated technologies, processes and materials are the key components for the perfect fit tire. Pirelli expertly mixes different elements in order to create a custom made tire for each car model: tread pattern design, tire’s profile, compounds, textile materials, metallic materials, vulcanization parameters, material volumes and tensions.

Each car has its specific characteristics that have to be enhanced and supported by the tires. Hence, the OE marking on the sidewalls of the tire show which specific brand, and sometimes even the model, an OE tire is made for.
