students of School of Basic and Applied Sciences and delivered a talk on Process
Development & Scale-up of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients from a Generic Perspective
on October 09, 2015.
API refers to the active or central ingredient in the
product which causes the direct effect on the disease
diagnosis, prevention, treatment or cure. The growth
in new medical technologies are spurring the demand
for APIs, along with the increased import of raw
pharmaceutical ingredients from emerging markets.
For the development of generic APIs, the role of
pharmaceutical industry is identification of the API
of the drug, development of new synthetic route,
analysis of the API, studies on bio-equivalence,
separation, determination and characterization of
impurities and stability testing of API according to
ICH guidelines.

Dear All,
Wish you very Best for Twenty
Sixteen! And welcome back to
campus making it lively again.
I congratulate you all for successful
completion of the odd semester
2015-16, which witnessed several
events and changes.
In the last quarter, the KRMU
Times was launched and the first
issue was overwhelmingly received
by the students and faculty. We
witnessed Sportura, our annual
sports festival that was very well
organized by the students. This
semester our cultural team has to
gear up to celebrate Rendezvous
2016, the annual cultural festival.
Another feather added in the
KRMU cap was the successful
organization of the first event of its
kind, the Model United Nations
2015. MUN saw participation of
students from all the disciplines and
young friends from K.R. Mangalam
World Schools at Gurgaon and
Vikas Puri. I congratulate MUN
Organizing team for their efforts.
We firmly believe that overall
personality development and
growth of every student is vital and
is integral part of the higher
education. To tailor to this segment
of learning, which depends a lot on
extra-curricular and co-curricular
activities, this semester we plan to
streamline our students activities
by formalizing them. We want our
students to participate in the
activity of their choice and excel.
We have new senior faculty
members joining the family. Prof.
