Spot It Sight Word Game: Prior to game play, print off all pair stare pages and cut along the dotted lines into individual cards. This game was created in a special way so that any two cards included in this game share one and only one word in common. To play: Single player: Pick two cards. Look at both cards closely until you find the word that is the same on both cards. When you find the pair say the word aloud then put those cards in a stack and pick two new cards. Two players: Deal all of the cards face down into two equal stacks. Give each player a stack of cards. On the count of three, each player should flip over the top card on his/her stack. The first player to spot the pair between these two cards and say it aloud, gets to keep the two cards. Continue play in this way until you have gone through all cards. The winner who collects the most cards wins. More than two players: Place all cards face down in one pile. Each player takes a card from the pile and places it face up in front of themselves. Then a card from the pile is drawn and placed face up in the center of the players. The first player to find the match between his/her own card and the card in the center gets to keep both his/her card and the card in the center. All other players return their cards to the bottom of the pile. Play continues until all cards have been won. The player who collects the most cards wins. Alternative for more than two players: Deal cards face down equally to all players. On the count of three, all players flip over one card from the top of their pile. The first player to spot a match between any two words, gets to keep both of those cards and adds them to his/her pile. Play continues in this way until one player losses all his/her cards.
