Powerturbo unitThe Powerturbo unit mainframe consists of two aluminium-and-steel single-piece units that can be placed on the base and stacked onto one another. It accommodates filters, ducts and fans, as well as steel flow baffles that keep air inflow and air suc-tion separate.All inner and outer walls of the Powerturbo unit are made of sound deadening, waterproof and fire-resistant material. The single-piece units of the Powerturbo unit are closed by sound-dead-ened steel panels using a fastening system that ensures easy removal for maintenance purposes.There is an air inlet prefilter which is placed after the fan. A door on the front wall inside the booth provide access for filter replacement.

Front door

SprayTron always comes with a base, either for above-floor or in-floor installation. The SprayTron base supports and helps achieve the proper size ofModulblock structure, Powerturbo unit, floor grid and Carmover rails.

Floor grids are supported by 4 omega-shaped beams arranged in a longitudinal direction with respect to base and 32 independent supporting legs, making for 600-Kg load capacity at vehicle supporting point.

Carmover rails are recessed into the grid so as to obtain a level walkable surface without interrup-tions or protrusions with 800-Kg load capacity at vehicle supporting point.

Each door leaf opens towards the outside. One door leaf opens independently from the others and features a safety handle. The door frame is made from stainless steel and paint-finished in grey.When closing, each door leaf butts against a seal that make the booth airtight. Doors are hinged to a frame that is independent of the booth so that perfect sealing is ensured under all conditions.

BurnerThe SprayTron can be set up with two different burners with direct flame, 210 KW and 350 KW.Both burners can be installed on the Power Turbo ventilation group or on the air introduction chan-nel, inside or outside the building.They are composed by a metal channel inside which the burner is set up and by a closed cabinet which stores the electric parts, the valves and the security system.

Openable windowstyle filter

Powerlux in 3

The tilting frame of the windowstyle filter provides convenient quick opening for filter replacement.

The “Powerlux in 3” lamp is the fruit of Symach’s year-long research and design effort. It is a totally innovative lamp that offers superior lighting per-formance. Conventional reflectors normally used in preparation areas simply do not compare. We designed a new, unique type of reflector so that the Powerlux lamp would focus it light beam on the vertical area of the vehicle with 1000 Lux, and on horizontal areas with 1700 Lux, to achieve su-perior lighting and optimal visibility for the painter during the painting job. Overall power consump-tion for the whole lighting installation is 25% less than conventional lighting systems. The SprayTron has AT EX-certified 12 Powerlux in 3 lamps in-stalled.

Keyboard and user display

The computer board controls inverters, fan mo-tors, air pressure sensors, compressor air flow sen-sors, work programmes and cycles, user interface keyboard and all safety devices.

Keyboard and user display are located on the ex-ternal front wall of the SprayTron, next to the ac-cess doors. Operator selects the automatic daily work programme from the keyboard.

Side doorThe side door features an anticorrosion treated steel perimeter frame with a single translucent cellular polycarbonate pane. The single module door has no rolling systems that may collect dust or dirt build-up. The pneumatic opening system is controlled by two switches (one inside and one outside the booth). Pressurisation is ensured by a seal that runs along the whole door perimeter.

CovertopThe outer covering of the KombiTron is made of “Covertop” moulded ABS panels secured to the structure with suit-able plastic clips that can be opened and closed allowing users to implement the electrical or pneumatic systems as needed.The Covertop panel comes in six different colours that can be combined at will.Symach focused on innovating the external design of the KombiTron compared to traditional booths, so as to offer customers a customisable, functional, effective product with minimalist design lines, easy to install and replace.

Software

Work cycle programmes

Once the summer or winter daily programme has been selected, the SprayTron software controls the booth with no need for the painter to switch the fans on and off manually as required by the different work phases throughout the day. The software automatically recognises the operation carried out by the operator at any given time and automati-cally launches the appropriate programmes. In addition, all parameters of automatic work cycles can be customised, for instance by setting a different air speed rate for each phase.

The SprayTron has three different work cycle programmes, one for each job performed in the booth, i.e. generic jobs such as washing and masking, spray-painting and paint drying.The SprayTron software automatically launches and changes programme for each task using suitable sensors, with no need for the painter to take action.

This programme is used when the operator performs generic tasks inside the booth. With this programme, the Spray-Tron operates at 20-30% air flow rate. This way, the operator breathes clean air at times - in the wintertime, air is also heated.

This programme is used when the operator performs spray-painting. With this programme, the SprayTron operates at full flow rate.

Air flow rate for each programme can be modified and the software automatically controls air and fan speed and bal-ances inlet air delivery and suction, adapting to the gradual clogging of the filters.

The software controls all alarm devices monitoring their efficiency at all times and alerts operator to abnormal events through a warning light and acoustic warning. Alarms includes an alert in the event of unauthorised access to the booth during drying. The software also constantly monitors filter clogging and alerts operator to the need for filter change at each power-on.

During the drying phase, which is performed by the (Robodry or Easydry) robot, the SprayTron operates at 40% air flow rate to remove all solvent gases released by the paint.

Booth thermostat

This booth is AT EX certified, which means it has been designed to operate in environments where potentially explo-sive gas mixtures can develop as solvents are released by paint products.This certification guarantees that the product and its components are designed and manufactured to operate safely in this kind of environment.

Meaning that gas is only delivered when the booth is actually operating and all safety systems are active.

Hardware and software monitoring ensures proper operation of each and every component.

A gas and solvent detector is installed inside the booth to monitor the internal environment at all times and detect any traces of gas during operation.

Two pressure valves control air inlet and suction flow and are placed after the filters so as to monitor filter clogging.

The flow meter monitors painter activity to trigger automatic work cycle programme change.

A thermostat is installed inside the booth to check for proper internal temperature.
