SPREFIX S density 140kg/m3, and is gray in its natural color. It has the same qualities as SPREFIX G in sound absorption, condensation control and thermal insulation, but SPREFIX S is mostly used where high level of fire resistance is required.

SPREFIX G is white in its natural color and is also rated as Non-combustible material in accordance with IMO Resolution A. 799(19), by DNV and other major classification societies in the world. SPREFIX G is a lightweight material, density 45~65kg/㎥, and is mostly used for sound absorption, condensation control and thermal insulation in areas where lightweight material is requested.

Condensation control

SPRAY LPO Spray Type Vinyl Coating
LPO is a fire retardant type and is used as a finishing material on DAEHYUP SPRAY insulation system The main active ingredient of LPO is based on Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. Used as a finishing material to the areas where spray insulation system is exposed, such as storages, engine room, machinery rooms and etc.

This quality manual has been prepared to assist DAEHYUP SPRAY installing contractors in their efforts to
provide quality workmanship in the field application and, to assist their reliable inspection.
2. SPREFIX installing equipment
The recommended installing equipment is the SPREFIX spray machine, exclusively made by SPREFIX.
3. Requirements
3.1 Surface preparation
·No need to paint on the steel plate that is pretreated with Zinc primer.
·The surface must be free from grease, oil rust and dust.
·The temperature of surface must be maintained above +0℃
·Humidity is must be maintained below 80%.
3.2 Certified worker
The installation is conducted only by the contractors with documented skill, who are approved by
SPREFIX.
4. Spraying 4.1 Marking the thickness of required thickness according to the table of material consumption is preceded before spraying.
4.2 Surface treatment It is recommended to spray LPA on the few areas of the surface.. 4.3 Spraying procedure ·Inside of stiffener or beam ·Around of stiffener or beam ·Spraying from lower to upper direction. ·Fallen wools during the installation can be used to fill inside of stiffener. Remaining wools must be cleaned by vacuum cleaner or brush.. 4.4 Padding or Rolling ·For obtaining the flatter and smoother surface, roll with roller or pad onto the surface that has been dried slightly (within 10 minutes). ·Apply over-spray with mixture of water and binder in order to firm the surface,
5. Density check It is recommended to collect 2~3 samples in 300x300mm size from a ship where the SPREFIX is installed. Examine the density by measuring thickness and weight of sample Density(Kg/㎥) = Weight(‘Kg’) / 0.3m x t (Thickness, ‘m’)

6.Measuring the thickness ·3 or 4 points per square meter shall be measured by the thickness gauge and the permissible deviation is -2mm ·If the deviation is more than the permissible deviation (-2mm), correct thickness by applying as much as excess.
7.Repairing method Repairing methods for damaged parts are as such a. Spraying LPA and LPB on the damaged surface sufficiently. b. Reattach the damaged piece of wool onto the damaged surface. c. If the damaged piece of wool is completely detached, It can be repaired by mixing wools with the binders manually. d. In case of large damage, please contact with SPREFIX OR YOUR DEALER.
