• You can purchase a membership for as little as one month or as many months at a time as you wish. Member-ship costs must be paid in full when signing up, unless signed up for payroll deduction.

• Any member who chooses to cancel their membership is entitled to a refund of the remaining months left on their member-ship. To receive a $15 reimbursement for the month you cancel, you must cancel on/before the 15th of that month. Any cancellations after the 15th of the month will not be reimbursed for that month. All cancellations must be made in writing.

• Payroll deduction is only available for employees (and their families) who receive a paycheck from SFA all 12 months of the year. Your paycheck will be deducted on a monthly basis until you terminate your membership. Payroll deduction cancel-lations must occur before the last week of the month to avoid a deduction for the next month.

• Members who are paying through payroll deduction must pay their first month up front. After the first month, payments for membership will be taken directly from their paychecks. The first month payment will be $30 until after the 15th of each month, where it will be prorated to $15 until the end of the month.

• Students taking only online classes have their Student Recreation Center Fee waived by the University; therefore, they must purchase a “Student” member-ship for access to the Student Recreation Center. Students who enroll in classes but withdraw later from the university will be denied access to the Student Recreation Center.

The Stephen F. Austin Sport Club Program is dedicated to the education of our student athletes through sport. By participating in the Sport Club Program students are involved with a student-run organization that continually educates by providing leadership experience, recreation, com-petition, and outstanding sportsmanship. Through the learning experiences afforded by Sport Clubs, these teams bridge the gap between Intramural Sports and varsity athletics.

To join a sport club team, you only need to have interest. If you are interested in a particular club, you can contact the Sport Club Office (468-1434) and express your interest. Each club will hold organizational meetings at the beginning of each semester, as well as represent their clubs at orientations and student organization fairs. Once you have expressed your interest to the club officers, it is time to play.
