The Student Recreation and Wellness Facility (SRWF) is designed to add approximately 200,000 square feet of new and renovated activity space and is scheduled for
completion in August 2010.

The 13,000 square foot fitness center will include areas for cardio, core, free
weights, all on our top of the line equipment.
The five court open rec area will provide the ability to play volleyball, basketball,
and more. It will also house many special events, intramurals, and open rec.
The Indoor Turf Building will provide a 20,000 square foot infill turf playing surface for
those activities that are played on natural grass.
The third level of this facility will include a 1/8th mile indoor track
with plenty of views outside as well as views onto the main
gymnasium space.
The Indoor Climbing Center will provide 2,250 square feet
of climbing surface on a 34 foot high pinnacle and an additional
bouldering wall.

OUTDOOR PURSUITSOUTDOOR PURSUITSBSU Outdoor Pursuits is a new program coming to Recreation Services
in the fall. It will offer the equipment and instruction required to get out and play in the outdoors of Indiana and beyond!
The Outdoor Pursuits Center will provide something for every Ball State University student, alumni, faculty/staff and community
members. Whether you have years of experience under your belt and are looking to sharpen your skills, or it’s your first outdoor adventure,
we’ll have something for you.
Adventures could include: experiencing the rush of whitewater rafting on West Virginia’s New
River, learning the delicate arts of fly tying and fly casting, or adding some spice to your workout
by training on the 34 foot climbing wall.

Attention Nursing and Teaching Majors:
CPR for the Profesional Rescuer meets the requirements
set by the Ball State School of Nursing. The adult/child/infant
CPR meets the licensure requirements set by the Indiana
Department of Education.
Instructional Recreation includes a variety of non-credit programs for the Ball State and Non-Ball State Community.
Participants must be over the age of 18 years old.
