It was fun to show them new techniques and projects while they were here. Now it’s time to try some of those out in class! Bring your friends and spend time connecting with them. You’ll be glad you had time to catch up, socialize and learn something new, at the same time you are being creative! We have so many new items in the shop, you will want to come check out all the great fabric and kits that just arrived. One kit LuAnn and I really enjoyed making was Sweet Tooth, a quilt made with Kona cottons. The kit was so well assembled, we were able to take the fabrics right off the roll, cut and sew together blocks, and assemble a fabulous quilt top in record time. The quilt looks like it was difficult to piece, but was actually very simple! We have several new patterns and some gorgeous new fabric in the Stonehenge and ColorWorks collections that follow that concept. You will have to come in and see Prickly Heat, Brightly Woven and Intrigue that we made from these fabrics. While you’re here, check out the Metro Rings quilt that LuAnn is teaching. It looks like a traditional wedding ring, without the difficulty. We have been having so much fun in class! The Tuffet, that everyone is raving about makes a great conversation piece for your home. Make some great summer projects that are fast and fun to put together. We have great fabric Tubular Baskets to cover your potted flowers. Blooming Fireworks, made with an X-Block technique will make a great summertime table runner and placemat set. Some fun techniques scheduled are foundation piecing with our new gorgeous collection of Jacqueline de Jonge patterns. We are teaching her Happiness smaller project, as well as Jinny Beyer’s Migrations. We have many fascinating fabric folding patterns, and in class we will make the popular Folded Circle Centerpiece. Brush up on some basic quilting methods with Binding Basics class. Stretch your imagination by trying different fabric to make the great designs by Scott with Log Cabin Sampler and Points North. We are celebrating the official Log Cabin Day with our Log Cabin GO! class. Chop Chop Braid is another beautiful quilt made with the AccuQuilt GO! cutter. We’re starting to plan new quilts for Christmas in July. We’ll inspire you to get a head start on your holiday sewing! Join us in class to learn the holiday projects Triple Dresden Tree Skirt and quilt-as-you-go Fast & Furious stockings. Bring your embroidery sewing machine to the Lunch Box Quilts Embroidery Retreat and get some great hands on instruction from their founder, Angie Steveson. It’s a two day retreat filled with lots of new ideas, great inspiration, and fun! We hope you are inspired to start something new, and we look forward to seeing you in the classroom in the upcoming months!
