A Little Prince Small31” x 38” • 6461-WH • $60.00
Blair Leighton’s title derives from Henry VI, part II, the penultimate in Shakespeare’s cycle of history plays,
chronicling the struggle for power between the two warring dynasties of Lancaster and York. He puts visual
shape to a prophetic reference to the young Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond. The painting was completed in
1904 and rendered beautifully into a textile wall hanging.

Romeo and Juliet Mid29” x 38” • 6482-WH • $60.00
Although it was first greeted with mixed criticism, this painting came to be one of Dicksee’s best known and admired pictures. The scene is the parting of Romeo and Juliet after their wedding night and the last time they will see one another alive. As one critic pointed out, the painting perfectly conveys the tenderness and the passion of this poignant moment when Romeo says, “Farewell, farewell! one kiss, and I’ll descend.”

This tapestry depicts a woodpecker against an ornate
backdrop and was designed by Morris & Co in 1877.
Most of the company’s production was a collabora-tive effort involving several
artists, but Woodpecker is unusual in that it was one
of the very few tapestries designed by William Morris
in its entirety. It shows a woodpecker sitting in the branch of a fruit tree and
features Morris’s distinctive ornate background of
leaves and his legendary attention to detail. This
version is master crafted in our finest woven technique
for exquisite detail and with a careful eye towards current
home decor color ways.
Strawberry Thief53” x 65” • 6415-WH • $160.00Rods Sold Separately • Shown with Rod 5
Strawberry Thief is one of William Morris’s most popular repeating designs for textiles. It takes as its subject the thrushes that Morris found stealing fruit in his kitchen garden of his countryside home, Kelmscott Manor, in Oxfordshire. Cooling blues and natural earth tones play beautifully together in this circle inspired

The Tree of Li fe symbol represents di fferent qual i t ies

bounty and redemption. It is also considered to be the
symbol o f our ‘Creator ’ . The t ree i s assoc ia ted wi th
the creator because it provides protection and supports
abundant fruit production and thereby, regenerat ion.
This analogy can a lso be used to descr ibe the l i fe o f
