Sheis also survived by her brothers, sisters, and their spouses, Dickand Becky Ingram, Peggy Wright, Carol and John Moore, Wayneand Marian Ingram, Betty and Earl Young, Joyce and Curtis(Trixie) Hodges, Barbara and Ronnie (Rooster) Hodges, Edwardand Joyce Ingram, Gordon and Tina Ingram, Derryel and MaxieIngram, of King, N.C., Donna and Don Perdue, Rebecca andDaniel Boone, of Chapel Hill, N.C., and H.B. and Sherry Ingram.In addition, Rhonda is also survived by Steve's brother, Randyand his wife, Kathy. She was predeceased by her parents,Brown and Melva Ingram, her brother, Eugene Wright, hersisters, Helen Smith and Vivian McGhee, her father andmother-in-law, Ned and Marie Young and her brothers-in-law,Dempsey and Scott Young. She is also survived by numerousnieces and nephews to whom she was affectionately known as"Nanny" Rhonda.
Rhonda was employed by Franklin County Public Schools as abus driver. She has safely shuttled hundreds of students to andfrom school, on field trips, and on Upward Bound trips to VATech. She loved going to the beach, to Bluegrass MusicFestivals, to craft fairs, and antiquing.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Rhondaloved living on her family's country homestead, which theynamed Poplar Hollow. Her out-of-town nieces and nephewsloved summer visits with "Nanny" Rhonda. Her talents weremany: extraordinary homemaker and cook, story teller,gardener, seamstress, decorator, plumber, auto mechanic, andcreative problem solver. It seemed there was nothing shecouldn't make, design, fix, or re-decorate. Her selflessness,kindness, and generosity knew no bounds - she never said no toanyone who asked for help nor failed to offer help when it wasneeded. Rhonda was known and loved by so many people. Shelived in a small town but the world she created through her lifewas vast. Her physical being is no longer with us, but her spiritlives on in those who were blessed with the priceless gift ofknowing and loving her. The words written here are insufficientto characterize the legacy she leaves behind.
