Rotator Early YearsFollowing R & D and field testing during the 1986 growing season, the R20 Rotator® and R30 Rotator® were conceived and developed together for the orchard and pivot markets, respectively, and released in 1987. Customized stream heights, droplet configurations and uniformity make the Rotator the perfect platform for precision sprinkler irrigation.
The simplicity of the Rotator mechanism – with only one moving part and no seals or bearings exposed directly to water pressure or water quality – has stood the test of time with unsurpassed reliability. And as a result of Nelson engineers’ improvements to the original technology, Rotator® sprinklers are now used around the world in all segments of irrigated agriculture.
ThE IdEal SpRInklER TEChnologY foR ThE fuTuREnelson engineers have made an impressive number of advancements to the original Rotator in the 25 years since its inception. Expansion of the product across all segments of the industry has led to water savings and improved irrigation worldwide. nelson’s numerous patents and pending patents provide benefits such as:
• Improved real-world uniformity.• Greater throw distance.• Lower application rates.• No riser vibration.• No splash down.• Targeted watering.• Operation in freezing conditions.• Quick-change nozzle systems.• Modularity.• And more to come!

pivot Rotator® Technology WIDEST THROW ON DROPS!
For 25 years, Nelson’s Pivot Rotator sprinkler packages have been providing exceptional performance and reliability on mechanical move irrigation systems. Rotating streams offer powerful advantages because of their exceptional uniformity, excellent wind resistance and superior results in getting water into the ground.
Nelson engineers have consistently refined and improved throw distance and uniformity characteristics in real world conditions. In addition, with numerous advances in engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance – the Nelson Pivot Rotator not only throws further at lower pressures, but it lasts longer than ever before.

Nelson Irrigation Corporation built its reputation by designing and manufacturing the highest quality sprinklers available and then providing them at an unparalleled value. Out of the original Rotator concept, Nelson created innovations like the R2000WF Windfighter and 3⁄4” R33 Rotator sprinklers. For Solid Set and Portable Move, these sprinklers set a new standard in performance and value.
