    Innovation and Extension Cell  A vermicomposting project has been initiated to

    understand the role of earthworms and the value of

    organic farming by the students’ community and local

    farmers.

      A science, technology and innovation forum has been

    created to stimulate the excitement of experimenta-

    tion and converting potential ideas into reality.

     Science exhibitions have been conducted to attract

    the best minds with the unique innovative ideas which

    can be commensurate with the need of industry.

      A unique medicinal herbal garden is getting ready to

    encourage the people for conservation of biodiversity

    as well as serve as a resource for research material by

    newly opened center for drug design discovery and

    development.

      With the support of Department of Science and

    Technology, a highly beneficial target-oriented

    programme for developing the skill towards research

    career entitled as ''INSPIRE internship science camp'' is

    being conducted.

      National Science and Technology Day is being

    celebrated to create enthusiasm & spirit of enquiry

    among the students and sending message to the

    nation that we can ameliorate and improvise the

    existing problems of the society by providing a feasiblesolution to their day-to-day problems.

    As per the notification of UGC and other apexbodies, we have the Anti-ragging Cell to make

    the campus ragging free. The members of the

    Cell, as per the notification of UGC,

    educate the students’ community on the laws

    related to ragging and its repercussions.

    The university has an excellent facility for health counselling through PRIMSR hospital. Competent

    doctors and consultants visit the hospital regularly for the benefit of students’ community.

    The Career Counselling Cell is constantly

    engaged in imparting skill-oriented training to

    the students to enhance their employability

    prospects as per the demand of the corporatesector.

    As per the notification of Bar Council of India,we have an exclusive office to provide legal aid

    services to interested people in and around the

    university. The centre has dedicated personnel

    and relevant information materials in local

    language to help the needy people.

    The university has a stationery shop inside the campus

    where various stationery items (pens, pencil, notepads,

    files, books, etc.) are supplied to the students at a

    working cost. It also has the facility of Print-outs and

    photocopies of documents.

    Excellent sports school with indoor and outdoor games

    has been established to nurture the outstanding sports

    talent of Indian and foreign students with specialized

    physical education experts.

    The first inter-departmental sports meet – SAMAVESH

    2015 was organized by the university from August 10-17,

    2015 by the Department of Physical Education & Sports.

    About 450 students participated in games like basketball,

    cricket, 7A-side soccer, table tennis and volleyball with 3

    league rounds giving an equal opportunity to all the

    teams to compete at the most competitive level and

    earning enough points from their matches to get above

    other teams to compete at the semi-final and finalmatches. Best player and overall championship trophies

    in each game were awarded to the winners.

    Centre for Drug Design, Discovery and Development(C4D)

    It is a matter of pride that this University has identified quality research as one of the priority areas of

    activities. In a short period of two years, about 100 scholars in different fields of Science &

    Engineering and Humanities and Languages have enrolled for Ph.D. The Government of Haryana,

    Department of Higher Education has approved the research departments of this University. Besides

    this, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India has recognised

    this university as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) which is a rare honour for a

    state private university like ours.Establishment of Centre for Drug Design, Discovery and Development (C4D) with a covered area of

    10340 sq. ft. is in f inal stage. This centre plans to undertake collaborative/sponsored research with

    industries/institutions/International Organizations on developing new drugs/synthesis/in vitro

    studies of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for drug screening for effectiveness over set of microbes

    causing neglected diseases like TB, Malaria, Chikungunya, Dengue, Kala Azar and other parasitic

    diseases including for those strains resistant to the already known drugs. We have also signed

    several agreements on research collaboration, human resource exchange, training with developed

    nations' institutions like London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), UK, Pennsylvania

    University, USA, Chiba University, Japan & Lomalinda University, USA etc.

    The Uniersity has an excellent research council to give directions and guidance on the research

    activities. Some of our faculty members have obtained R&D projects from the funding agencies and

    several proposals have been under consideration.
