collection. ABOUT THE SS13 COLLECTION THE SEA This summer the beauty of the sea and all the treasures it holds has inspired a large part of the collection. Beautiful twisting coral, sea urchins, giant seashells and the soft blues, sea greens and warm coral colours of the water and what lies beneath it. Beautiful prints on floating chiffon and mothy net trims emulate the mysteriousness of the ocean and its foaming waves The seaside and all the fun to be had there has inspired a wide collection of beachwear from cute bikini’s to cool cotton cover ups, 50’s style sundresses with full skirts and brightly coloured shorts, sun tops and knits. WILD FLOWERS AND WOODLAND A countryside summer with its ever-changing hedgerow is an important theme in this summer’s collection. The excitement we feel as the first fritilla’s appear followed by primrose, tulips, narcissi, wild cherry blossom, bluebells, cow parsley and wild roses entwined on the side of the road. Woodland walks and adventures. Simple, effortless styles with embroidered details, lace trims and pretty sleeves in pretty floral prints in warm coral, turquoise, soft grey with hints of yellow and muted mauves bring to mind the soft, dew soaked, misty and romantic summer days when the sun isn’t shining but the bruised clouds bring a softness to the sky. TROPICAL BRIGHTS For Spring Summer 2013 tropical is topical. Flamingos, hot sultry days, Palm Springs and all things kitsch. Mustique in the 70’s – Basils Bar, Princess Margaret and Mick Jagger. Hot yellows, pinks and greens provide the perfect fabric for stylish yet durable playsuits - a great fashion trend for girls - enabling the more adventurous to play hard, in style. ilovegorgeous launched as a wholesale children’s wear collection in September 2007. Designing exclusively for girls aged from 6 months to 15 years, their first collection was snapped up by London department store Selfridges as well as a host of boutiques and children’s wear shops across the UK. Since then ilovegorgeous has expanded its wholesale reach to the USA, France and can be found in many prestigious locations including Le Bon Marche in Paris, Barneys NYC, Selfridges, Liberty and Harvey Nichols, London and Harvey Nichols, Saudi Arabia. In December 2008 ilovegorgeous opened their flagship shop in Notting Hill and in February 2009 the website became ecommerce. The Present After enjoying an extremely busy year so far ilovegorgeous has just launched new, dedicated European and American websites, with more exciting projects in the pipeline the rest of the year is set to continue in the same way. The Customer ilovegorgeous can count among its fans fashion leaders including Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Stella Tennant, Sam Taylor-Wood, Elle Macpherson, Victoria Beckham, Reece Witherspoon, Suri Cruise and Thandie Newton as well as many stylish mums who want their children to look and feel Gorgeous. The Designers ilovegorgeous is designed by Lucy Enfield and Sophie Worthington. Both women are mothers of three with a background in fashion design and journalism. Lucy is married to comedian Harry Enfield and lives in London; Sophie is married to contemporary art expert Greville Worthington and lives in Yorkshire. The Collection Their signature is classic, traditional, flattering silhouettes made interesting with their use of fabric, trim or embroidery. They use cotton voile, sheer viscose chiffon, nets and lace to produce their pretty delicate and feminine collections. There is also a delicate knitwear range of classic cardigans and fine jumpers….cotton for summer, cashmere for winter. Bridesmaids In addition to the mainline collections ilovegorgeous designs a separate, and very successful, Classic range. This includes pretty, vintage inspired bridesmaid dresses made in response to requests from magazines and customers for ilovegorgeous to use their signature style in creating a more relaxed approach to bridal wear. The Future ilovegorgeous will continue to design beautiful, unique clothes for girls. They will build upon the success of the flagship shop, UK, European and American websites and will expand their international wholesale business.
