We certainly had a busy September! We are so thrilled with the amount of parent participation at Naples Park this year. Our goal is to provide at least one opportunity a month for families to come to NPE and enjoy some special time with their child. Mark your calendars for our events in October! We are always in need of volunteers for various activities through out the year: Book Fair, Field Trips, Thanksgiving Banquet, Breakfast with Santa, Walk-a-Thon, just to name a few. Simply ll out the volunteer application on-line. We hope to see you here! Our student Sharks have been working hard this quarter! Writing across the grade levels in all subjects is a focus this year! I denitely think we have a few blooming authors in our presence. Our teachers have been busy infusing some amazing learning techniques in their rooms: music, movement, graphic organizers; ask your child what new learning strategies they have learned. It is all about making learning fun and lasting! As we move into October, I want to thank you for your support and involvement in making NPE THE place to Be! It takes every one of us to make this #NPEDreamTeam, thank you for your commitment! Mrs. Kirby, Ed.S. Principal

COUNSELOR'S CORNERDear Parents,Your child is involved in learning activities during October that promote RESPONSIBLITY. It’snever too early to teach your child about responsibility. Here are 3 simple tips that willempower your child to understand that they are responsible for what they think, say and do.· Create Routine Checklists – Allow your child to make a list of things they need to do in themorning and evening. Avoid wanting to do things for them. Create independence.· Avoid Material Rewards - Spending time together and bonding while doing chores together ismore benecial for your child. Save material rewards for special events.· Allow Natural Consequences – We are often afraid to let our kids suffer and are quick tosolve their problems. When they forget their lunch box, allow them to eat a school lunch. When they don’t put their toys away like you asked, the toys are not available the next day. Please feel free to call me at any time with concerns or questions. Make it a fantastic day!Mrs. Frizzi, School Counselor377-7706 or [email protected]
