93. Is the Spirit per se without a covering, or as

some insist, is it surrounded by some kind of

substance?

The Spirit is surrounded by a

substance that might look vaporous

to you but which is still quite dense to

us. Nevertheless, it is sufficiently

vaporous to be able to raise itself up

into the air and travel to wherever it

wants to go.

the seed = Spirit

the flesh = perispirit

the rind= physical body

As a fruit seed is surrounded by the perisperm,

the Spirit per se is surrounded by an envelope,

which, by comparison, may be denominated

Perispirit.

From the Greek “peri” - around

From the Latin “spíritus” - soul, spirit

What is Perispirit ?

Concept:

It is the intermediary between the Spirit and the Physical Body.

Physical Body

What is the constitution of the Perispirit?

Constitution:

It is a variant of the UCF – Universal

Cosmic Fluid (or material principle)

therefore, it is material, but a matter

more subtle (what Allan Kardec

denominated semi-material).

Does the Perispirit have some form?

Form:

It has the form in accordance to the free will

and the autonomy of the Spirit.

The moral condition determines the density of the Perispirit.

Observations:

After death, the Spirits with perispirits of greater density are

retained in the inferior regions. As the Spirit evolves, the nature of

the perispiritual envelope becomes more ethereal.

Due to the marked density of the Perispirit, the Spirits

confuse it with the physical body, considering themselves

incarnated and still living on Earth.

Unconsciously, the Spirits with inferior mental

vibrations present a more dense and dark

Perispirit.

Properties:

What are the properties of the Perispirit?

Oneness: Individuality – Indivisibility – Permanence.

Density: Ponderability – Luminosity.

Reflective Capacity: it generates images in the aura. (the image of thoughts and feelings)

Porosity: Ethereal – Absorption.

Intangibility: It is not tangible, but it can become tangible.

Plasticity: Ideoplastia – Transfiguration – Ovoid – Mutability Retractile ability.

Invisibility: It is not visually perceptible, but it can become visible.

Penetrability: It can exceed physical limits; it is impervious to heat, fire, water and dense matter.

Expansibility: Magnification of the sensitivity and perception; Externalization / Irradiation; Emancipation of the soul; Outspread/Bi-corporeity/Bi-location; Incorporation.

Corporeity: Corporificacion, Densification, Materialization.

Global Sensitivity: Transposition of senses.

Magnetic Sensitivity: it is susceptible to the influence of the environmental energy that involves it (psychosphere psychic or photosphere). The Perispirit absorbs, assimilates and transmits the energy that it receives.

Odor: It is characterized by particular and individual odor.

Temperature: It has its own temperature.

Depository Archive: It stores emotions and sensations. It records the experiences from past lives and imposes limitations to physical body or mind.

Transmitter and Intermediary: It is a sensitive channel to magnetic influence, thought, action and feeling.

It does not think, does not have any will and does not make selection: It is the SPIRIT that thinks, has will and makes choices.

The Perispirit promotes the form of the physical body. It is the

bio-psycho-physical memory that will serve as guide to the Spirit

that will incarnate, in all circumstances and needs.

Principle of the Medianimic Communication

It is the intermediary between the Spirit and the physical body.

Perispirit : Conclusion

It is a variant of the UCF – Universal Cosmic Fluid – therefore, it is material.

It has the form in according to the free will and autonomy of the Spirit; the moral condition determines the density of the Perispirit.

Properties: Oneness, Density, Porosity, Reflective Capacity, Plasticity, Intangibility, Invisibility, Penetrability, Expansibility, Corporeity, Global Sensitivity, Magnetic Sensitivity, Odor, Temperature, Depository Archive, Transmitter and Intermediary; it does not think; it does not have any will; it does not make choices.

It promotes the form of the physical body, because it is the bio-psycho-physical memory of the Spirit.

The Perispirit is (…) the faithful guardian, the

immortal heritage of our past (…), the conservator

of our personality, (...)

Translated from the book “A Evolução Anímica” by Gabriel Dellane

At the spiritual body we have all the equipment of automatic

resources that govern the billions of microscopic beings at the

service of the Intelligence, in the surroundings where we find

ourselves. Those resources were acquired slowly by the being,

in millennia and millennia of effort and recapitulation, in

multiple sectors of the spiritual evolution.

Translated from the book “Evolução em Dois Mundos” of Francisco Cândido Xavier by Andre Luiz, Ch. 2
