Thank You Monsignor Dennis Lyle
Our parish community has been blessed to have Msgr. Lyle serve at our parish for the last fourteen years. He has enriched our parish in so many ways through helping out at weekend Masses, hearing Confessions, facilitating retreats and so on. Msgr. Lyle came to our aid back in the year 2000 to help our parish temporarily after Fr. John Tapper had his heart attack. Fortunately for us, Msgr. Lyle continued to help out even though he had his own busy schedule as a professor and the former rector of Mundelein Seminary. Regrettably, Msgr. Lyle's many responsibilities as Director of the Cardinal Stritch Retreat House have become to great for him to continue helping out at St. Ansgar as he has in the past. I'm sure Msgr. Lyle will come and visit us from time to time. But for now, he will no longer serve our parish on a regular basis starting in July. Therefore, I would like to show our appreciation for Msgr. Lyle's many years of service by having a light reception for him on:

Por los últimos catorce años, nuestra parroquia ha tenido la bendición de contar con la presencia de Monseñor Lyle. Él ha enriquecido nuestra vida parroquial en varias formas, principalmente al celebrar las Misas de fin de semana, confesando, impartiendo retiros, presenciando bodas, bautizando niños, etc. Monseñor Lyle empezó a venir en el año 2000, cuando el Padre Tapper se enfermó del corazón. Afortunadamente, siguió ayudándonos aún con su muy apretada agenda como profesor y director del Seminario de Mundelein.
Lamentablemente, son tantas sus responsabilidades ahora como Director de la Casa de Retiros Cardinal Stritch, que ya se le ha complicado seguir viniendo de manera continua. Así que a partir de julio, ya no lo veremos con la misma frecuencia. Estamos seguros de que conforme sus ocupaciones se lo permitan, vendrá a visitarnos, pues esta también es su casa. Por lo tanto, en agradecimiento a Monseñor Lyle por sus tantos años de servicio en esta parroquia, le tendremos una pequeña recepción el:

En varias ocasiones nos piden cartas de affidávit para padrinos o madrinas de Bautismo, Comunión o Confirmación. Sólo podemos proveerle cartas a los miembros de la parroquia que conocemos, los que están inscritos, activos, y contribuyendo a la parroquia. ¿Cómo sabe usted que está inscrito? Un miembro inscrito recibe correspondencia de la parroquia. ¿Eres miembro inscrito de la parroquia? Si no lo es, por favor inscríbase. Únicamente tiene que ir a la Oficina Parroquial y pedir que se le registre.

Often, people ask for letter of affidavit and those can only be provided to members who are registered, active, and contributing to the parish. How
do you know if you are registered? A registered member receives correspondence from the parish. If you're not, please register. Our registration process can be completed anytime the office is open.

Los jóvenes y adultos mayores de 17 años (o que los cumplan en el 2014) que necesitan algún sacramento (Bautismo, Comunión y Confirmación), pueden inscribirse en la clase de RICA.
Los niños y jóvenes que deseen asistir al programa, deben ya saber las oraciones básicas (Padrenuestro, Ave María y Gloria) al momento de ser inscritos. Deben venir con sus padres el día de la inscripción para ser evaluados.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: 7:00 AM—8:00 AM - Tuesday through Saturday.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: Saturdays 9:00 AM—10:00 AM English & Spanish Confession can also be arranged by appointment for any reasonable time. BAPTISMS: Third Saturday of every month at 12:00 PM English. Second & fourth Sunday every month at 2:30 PM Spanish. Parents & godparents must attend a class. Call Parish Office for class dates. MARRIAGES: Arrangements should be made at least nine months in advance. This time span is necessary to fulfill the diocesan guidelines for proper preparation. Call the Parish Office.
