The Department of Computer Science was established in 2015, with a goal of moulding well qualified
professionals in the field of information technology with commitment to the society through career based courses and
well established technical environments. The department offers B.Sc Computer Science, a 3-year bachelor degree
program in the field of computer science. The department promotes student seminars, presentations, project work,
assignments. Apart from this, the Department provides certificate programme on Internet on Things (IoT). The
department conducts an interaction programme with industry experts on monthly basis. Every year we celebrate
computer literacy week by conducting curricular and co-curricular activities. The annual intake of the students to the
course is thirty. The students are admitted to the course through careful screening and other admission criteria.

computer science. This course is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. This is designed to

Certificate Courses OfferedThe department offers a 45 hours Certificate Programme in Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is presently a hot
technology worldwide. Government, academia, and industry are involved in different aspects of research,
implementation, and business with IoT. IoT cuts across different application domain verticals ranging from civilian to
defence sectors. These domains include agriculture, space, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, water, and
mining, which are presently transitioning their legacy infrastructure to support IoT. Today it is possible to envision
pervasive connectivity, storage, and computation, which, in turn, gives rise to building different IoT solutions. The
students who have basic programming knowledge are eligible to join the course. Students need to complete a course
evaluation at the end of the course after which they will receive a certificate of completion.
