Welcome to St. André’s Parish! No matter who you are, where you’ve come from, or what brings you here, we’re so glad to have you with us. St. André Bessette (1845-1937) spent much of his life serving as the door-keeper of his religious community; like him, we strive to open doors for our neighbors to experience the loving mercy of God. May Jesus fill your heart with his grace and peace!

If you’d like to contribute to St. André’s Parish electronically—one time only or monthly, either from your checking ac count or credit card—you can now do so directly from the parish website: standres.org. Thanks for your generosity!

Friday, April 7 Notre Dame Church

7:00pm Praise & Worship Holy Hour 8:00pm Bonfire, Snacks & Fellowship

From Fr. Joe… Be sure to congratulate our two new acolytes, Brent Charland and Nick Haas! You’ll be seeing more of them in the sanctuary during these next few months. And keep them in your prayers as they complete their preparations to be, God willing, ordained as Permanent Deacons in October. As I type this, there are only a few books left for our Bible Basics for Catholics program during Lent (and by the time you read this, I’m quite confident they will be all gone). Fr. Scott and I look forward to delving more deeply into Sacred Scripture with you during this holy season.

As I likewise mentioned a few weeks back concerning Extraordi-nary Ministers of Holy Communion, this Wednesday’s training session for Lectors isn’t meant only for those who are new to the ministry, but can also serve as a great refresher for those who already read at Mass. If you have questions about either of these liturgical ministries, please speak with Fr. Scott. Visit Fr. Joe's blog: http://fromemptyhands.blogspot.com/

SAVE THE DATE: There will be a Sugar on Snow Brunch on Palm Sunday, April 9th, following the 9:30 Mass at St. Joseph's Church. It will be held at St. Helen’s Hall in Chasm Falls from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. More details will be found in next week’s bulletin. If you would like to help at this year's event, please contact Bob Main at [email protected] or 483-7977.

Sacrament of Baptism Parents who wish to have a child baptized should contact Rev. Joseph Giroux to make arrangements for the date and for a program of preparation. Parents are highly encour-aged to make arrangements at least three months before the child is born, as the Catholic Church encourages Baptism for infants as soon as possible after birth. Adults and older children (seven years or older) interested in Baptism or en-tering into full communion with the Catholic Church should inquire about the program of preparation (R.C.I.A.: the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Sacrament of Matrimony A Catholic wishing to be married in one of our churches should contact one of the priests at least six months prior to the desired date in order to begin making arrangements. A program of preparation is required. The parish should be contacted before any other plans are made—for example, the wedding reception. Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick For those preparing for surgery, nursing home residents, or the homebound, contact one of the parish priests to make arrangements to be anointed. For those in the hospital (especially in the event of an emergency), ask the hospital staff to contact the priest on call.
