THANK YOU FROM THE ST. ANDREW’S BACK PACK TEAM to our generous parishioners that support the Back Pack program at Morningside Elementary! Since the school is closed for the Christmas break, we will take a break from collecting food items until the weekend of January 5/6. We will resume packing on January 10. During these cold winter months, donations of canned soup (tomato and chicken noodle) and boxes of oatmeal packets are very helpful.

Thank you for all the prayers, food items and financial support for this ministry. It is truly appreciated by the school staff and the families who benefit.

D id Jesus , the incarnate Son of God, have a soul with human knowledge?

“The Son of God assumed a body animated by a rational human soul. With his

human intellect Jesus learned many things by way of experience; but also as man the Son of God had an intimate and immediate knowledge of God his Father. He likewise understood people’s secret thoughts and he knew fully the eternal plans which he had come to reveal.”

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR JANUARY 17: Thursday, January 17 is the date St. Andrew’s has been asked to staff the Bless My Sole Clinic at the Rescue Mission. This is a wonderful Ministry that a group of our parishioners have been actively helping with. We need about ten more volunteers to staff the clinic for this one evening. The medical staff of the Rescue Mission is on hand to handle any issues, but volunteers are asked to help with a number of chores from carrying basins of water to stuffing take-home foot care bags to washing client’s feet or praying with the people who come into the clinic. Many people frequent this once-a-month clinic – it is open to everyone. The plan is to meet at St. Andrew’s at 4:40 and carpool to the Clinic. We return to St. Andrew’s between 7:00—7:30pm. Please contact Teresa Hancock-Parmer at [email protected] to volunteer or for more information. What better way to minister as Jesus did? Won’t you consider beginning 2019 with an evening of service?
