Stay close to God and one another through prayer! It was a first for all of us, I think! Six of us met last Sunday at 10:15 to pray and prepare ourselves to bring the Live Stream to you at 10:30. Let me clarify, Live Stream was not a first, as you know! But, there were only six of us and NONE of YOU! Our desire was to bring Glory to God and to make sure that you felt like we were in your living room. We wanted to look at the camera and to pic- ture each of you looking back at us just like a typical Sunday morning in the Sanctuary. Also, another first is that Levi worked to put the worship service on Facebook. After the service was over we praised God for his presence with us. We did a little trouble shooting for next week and at this time we are prepared to have worship again in your living room this Sunday. We each had many calls, texts, and emails from you as you responded to the service. Mary Ann Roe sent by text, We went to church this morning. LEVI SHARES STORIES FROM CHOIR TRIP

One of the most fun times we've had at TAG was our March 12, 2020 get together. The red beans and rice, along with

cornbread and cake, were well received…. Delicious! Thanks to our chef, Bob Webb, we ate a hardy lunch.

The program, “You know you’re from Cajun Country if….”, was led by Pat Buerhle. We enjoyed hearing all the Cajun

customs… from chicory coffee, to accordion playing—nothing but great fun. Many members recalled their visits to LA

and the interesting things they had experienced there.

We missed several members who had gone on the trip to Washington DC, but had a nice crowd anyway.

Always remember anyone of any age is invited and encouraged to attend TAG at 12:00 pm, every second Thursday of

every month.

FELLOWSHIP THANKS TO MAGGIE & RON EVERETT

With the Coronavirus heading our way and everyone a little nervous, Maggie and Ron Everett were abso-lute heroes to us all as they forged ahead amid rumors and speculation we wouldn’t even have the luncheon and prepared the BEST chicken & spaghetti EVER !!! Not only was it that good, it was a complete sellout, as every last bite was sold after lunch as take out! Little did we know that by the next day we would be really glad we took that extra food home, as access to food suddenly became a big issue in our lives. The Fellow-ship Committee can’t say enough about how grateful we are for the calm and actually amazing way Maggie and Ron handled this during such a chaotic time.

On Sunday morning everything was in total control with Team Allen helping (Chris, Emily, Aaron, and An-drew). With so many people out and the Washington travelers just back, they prepared everything without additional help and Pulled It Off Beautifully!

Still thinking of that Chicken & Spaghetti! The Fellowship Team

Sixteen St. Andrew’s members and friends traveled to Washington D.C. We saw numerous memorials: World War II Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial, MLK Memorial, Washing-ton Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. In addition, we explored our nation’s Capital, walked outside of the White House, and viewed the original Bill of Rights, Constitution, and Declaration of Independence.

Although we traveled at the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, we visited nearly everything on our itinerary as planned. We took many precautions while traveling includ-ing hand sanitizer at every stop, and we washed our hands as much as possible. We had a private charter bus during our entire 4-day trip which kept us from traveling on public transportation while in D.C.

During this incredible trip, we traveled to Capitol Hill Pres-byterian Church where we gathered as a church body. We sang hymns, heard solos, and listened to Thomas play pi-ano in an historic empty sanctuary. Julie voiced one of the most profound and uplifting prayers. It was a moment of reassurance that God is bigger than anything we could pos-

sibly face. Our souls were fed. We grew closer to each other and to God in that moment.

As we traveled home to a world of uncertainty, we knew that we had experienced the trip of a lifetime. With God’s heal-ing hand, everyone on the trip has not had any health issues since returning from D.C. To God Be the Glory!

IN OUR PRAYERS

SAPC FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Wow! Who would have thought we would be where we are today? Are you wondering what God is thinking about "us” right now? I am! I often stop and ask myself would God care about this? Instead, maybe it’s what would Jesus do right now? I’m not questioning God’s love and care for his children when I ask what would God think of “us”, but rather, “my response” to what is happening right now in our world, country, and city. Here are some Bible verses that might help you overcome any fear or anxiety and will bring you peace. When we get our minds off of ourselves and think outside the box, I find these things helpful: pray a lot, listen to good God music, check on family and friends, work a puzzle, bake extra and freeze it, sit outside, sing, laugh as much as possible, and start a list of all of the things you are thankful for! God be with you till we meet again. In His Love,

1 Peter 5:7: Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Isaiah 12:2: Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.

Romans 8:15: The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.

Joshua 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Exodus 14:13 – 14: Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. . . The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

John 14:27: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

1 John 4:17 – 18: This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judg-ment: In this world we are like Jesus.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with

punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

2 Timothy 1:7: For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. Psalm 94:19: When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

Matthew 6:34: Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

UPDATE FROM PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE Jennifer Winge, Executive Search Consultant with Vanderbloemen, came to St. Andrews on Sunday

March 15, 2020. The purpose of her visit was to worship at St. Andrews and ascertain the DNA of

St. Andrews and gain insight into the ideal Pastor candidate for St. Andrews. In addition to attend-

ing the 10:30 Worship Service, Jennifer attended the Fellowship Luncheon and then met with the

St. Andrews Pastor Search Committee, the Board of Deacons, the Session and also with Julie. From

her multiple conversations on March 15, 2020, Jennifer prepared a Search Profile of St .Andrews.

The Search Profile is being reviewed by the Pastor Search Committee. Once edits are completed

and the final Search Profile approved, the Search Profile will go “live” and available to candidates in

Vanderbloemen ‘s database . Vanderbloemen will commence searching for the Pastor that God

has prepared for St. Andrews.
