CALLED TO SERVE
For many weeks now, we have been celebrating the appearance of the divine presence in human form. As a child, he came to Mary and Joseph, was seen by the shepherds, and then by some wandering magi from the East. Today we celebrate another showing, later in time, to a group gathered at the Jordan River. John hesitated to baptize Jesus, whom he recognized as one mightier than I. But he did as Jesus asked, and the Holy Spirit descended and heavens voice spoke to Jesus, You are my beloved Son. Jesus was beginning his public life of teaching and service. Soon he would start calling others to join him. Peter was one of the first to be called by Jesus. In today’s second reading, he announces the heart of the message, peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. Pronto comenzaría a llamar a otros a seguirlo. Pedro fue el primero que Jesús llamó. En la segunda lectura de hoy anuncia el centro del mensaje: la paz que traería Jesucristo, el Señor de todos . JOIN THE DUST ANGELS: A Small group of women and men come together after 8:00am Mass on Friday to tidy our church. Our tasks are usually completed within an hour. Once a month we meet as a group to socialize and pray together.

BIBLE STUDY: “Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible.”
Join us for an engaging journey through the bible. This study will make sense of the bible and see how it relates to your everyday life. Jeff Cavins provides a compelling overview and explanation of the Bible and salvation history.
Beginning Monday, Jan. 21st at 6:30 pm and Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 10:00 am. Classes are FREE and will be held in the Youth Room. There are workbooks available for $20.00.

Many people may have received an member of our parish staff seeking financial help. The email is NOT a real email it is a phishing email.
What is a spoofing/phishing email: "Most people know that it’s unwise to download files or click on links that appear in emails from unknown senders. What happens if the sender appears to be legitimate but really isn’t, though? This is precisely what happens in an email spoofing or phishing attack. The hacker sends emails that appear to originate from trustworthy sources. In some cases, they appear to be sent from legitimate companies; in others, they may even appear to come from friends, family members and coworkers. This is exactly how crimes like CEO fraud are started, criminals bank on targeted employees not questioning to comply with what the 'CEO' is asking for.
