Aussie Sports
Last week our Year 4 – 6 students travelled to Waroona to participate in Aussie Sports. The students played Australian rules, Soccer, Hockey and Tee ball. Everyone had an enjoyable day and I was impressed in the manner in which the teams played and represented St Anne’s.
Next Friday, the 24th May, is St Anne’s turn to host the event and we need volunteers on the day to help out. On this day we will need at least one umpire for each sport. If you have experience with any of the above sports and can give us some of your time during the games we would greatly appreciate it. Please let me know if you can umpire a sport by writing a note in your child’s diary or contacting the school directly on (08) 97291287.
Des McConville.
Next Wednesday, 22nd May, we will hold our annual
Casuals for Catholic Care Day.
This is usually held on or around May 10th the
Memorial Feast Day of St Damien of Molokai, the
Patron of Catholic Care.
Students are encouraged to come to school in free
dress for a gold coin donation with funds raised
going to support people in need across the general
community throughout the diocese.
The motto is ‘People Helping People”.
Friday, 17th May is National Walk Safely to School Day and, once again, St Anne's is happy to get involved.
All students and parents/guardians (where possible) are encouraged to meet at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre at 8.10am. We will then walk as a group back to St Anne's where participants will receive fresh fruit and a milo.
P & F NEWS
Woolworths Earn & Learn is back and it is now easier than ever to earn valuable resources for St. Anne’s Primary School. Last year more than 14,500 schools and Early Learning Centre benefited from the program, boosting supplies in classrooms, libraries, music rooms, gymnasiums and science labs.
It’s simple to participate.
Between 1st May and 25th June 2019, when you shop at Woolworths you can collect Woolworths Earn & Learn Stickers from the checkout operator or through an online order.
There’ll be one Woolworths Earn & Learn sticker for every $10 spent.
Please bring your stickers to the front office or to your class teacher.
