Course summary: This 60-credit BTEC qualification is worth 1 GCE A-level. There are three compulsory units in Year 12 designed to give an introduction to BTEC, which is a more applied and practical way of learning science than A Level. These units are called Fundamentals of Science, Working in the Science Industry, and Scientific Investigation. There are three units in Year 13 which can be chosen from a wide selection of options. It is envisaged that these units will have a focus on the Biological Sciences. All assessment is through coursework completed throughout the two years.
