Lectura: Hechos 4:8-12 2a. Lectura: 1 Juan 3:1-2 Evangelio: Juan 10:11-18 The Good Shepherd Jesus, a shepherd who loves, cares for and protects his sheep and knows them one by one. The figure of the shepherd is tender & welcoming. He worries about the sheep that gets lost. The one who goes astray, He looks for her, gives her time and in the end attracts her to the flock. Jesus takes as reference the shepherd who, when he sees the sheep in danger, goes and helps him, does not abandon it to his fate. Perhaps we are not very aware that Jesus is a Good Shepherd, before the world crisis that we are suffering and particularly in our land because, as always, we hope that we come to solve the problems. However, He, as the shepherd who loves his sheep, knows that God has offered us a habitable world, with what is necessary for all, but we are also co-responsible for the fact that the world remains habitable for all. Jesus calls us to understand that we must foster brotherhood, unity, peace, move away from destroying or plundering others for us to have more. Jesus shows us the way to go, where the sheep should walk, in spite of that, he turns and leaves us lost, perhaps he will leave a few moments to those who know where they are going, but in the end he gathers the whole fold. We have recently celebrated his resurrection, have we seen Him, have we believed in Him, do we still believe? Will we be able to be pastors in those places where we are? Will we expose ourselves to danger by saving someone who gets out of the way? El Buen Pastor Jesús, un pastor que ama, cuida y protege a sus ovejas y las conoce una en una. Quizás nosotros no somos muy conscientes de que Jesús es Buen Pastor, antes la crisis mundial que estamos sufriendo y de forma particular en nuestra tierra porque, como siempre, esperamos que nos vengan a resolver los problemas. Sin embargo, Él como el pastor que ama y quiere a sus ovejas, sabe que Dios nos ha ofrecido un mundo habitable, con lo necesario para todos, pero también nosotros somos corresponsables de que el mundo siga siendo habitable para todos. Jesús nos llama para que comprendamos que debemos fomentar la hermandad, la unidad, la paz, alejarnos de destruir o expoliar a los demás para nosotros tener más. Jesús nos marca el camino a seguir, por donde las ovejas debemos caminar, a pesar de ello, se vuelve y nos deja perdidos, quizás deje unos momentos a aquellas que saben a donde van, pero al final reúne al redil completo. Hace poco hemos celebrado su resurrección, lo hemos visto, hemos creído en Él, ¿seguimos creyendo? ¿Seremos capaces de ser pastores en aquellos sitios donde nos encontramos? ¿Nos expondremos al peligro por salvar a alguien que se aleja del camino?

The Good Shepherd
Jesus, a shepherd who loves, cares for and protects his sheep and knows them one by one. The figure of the shepherd is tender & welcoming. He worries about the sheep that gets lost. 2018 Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal
This weekend, all parishioners within the
Archdiocese of Denver are uniting in their
support of the 2018 Archbishop’s Catholic
Appeal. The proceeds from this annual
Appeal finance– for an entire year– nearly
forty archdiocesan charitable, educational,
and pastoral ministries. When determining
your level of charity, recall the words of St.
Peter, “As each one has received a gift, use
it to serve one another” 1 Peter 4:10

caridad, educación y pastoral. Al determinar
