ST BOTOLPH’S “900plus FESTIVAL”

planned for 2020

The PCC has decided it would be good to

celebrate the fact that there has been a

Christian witness in Barton Seagrave,

through what we now call St Botolph’s

Church, for at least 900 years. This witness

will, of course, continue into the future.

The intention is that 2020 will be a festival

year, with events to help us and the people of

Barton Seagrave to celebrate these 900+ years

of witness.

Derek Wade has been asked to oversee the

planning and delivery of any events we may

decide upon. If you would like to be

involved in this on-going planning and

delivery process, please let Derek know,

preferably by e-mail, before Christmas.

If you don’t wish to be involved but have a

suggestion to make, again, please let Derek

know by e-mail before Christmas.

Ideas already “on the table” include music

festival, arts/flower festival, floodlighting

the church, special peal of bells/handbells,

history tours and lots of others.

There will be an initial brain-storming meeting

soon after Christmas, and then regular planning

meetings throughout 2019 and into 2020.

Individuals may be invited to take on particular

roles, as necessary.

Safe Until Daylight

S afe Until Daylight CIC, the winter shelter for those who have no home through out the

winter of 2018/2019.

This winter, the shelter will open from Nov 2018 – March 2019. The shelter will have

beds for up to 15 people who have no home. Each person will be referred through

KBC Housing Options Team.

We are always grateful for support in running the shelter and the donations we receive from

the community.

We especially need help with the following products:

Towels (hand and bath) Flannels, Soap, Tooth Paste, Tooth Brushes, Shampoo, Deodorant

Washing powder, Men’s Socks.

Donations can be dropped to KCU Main office at 51 Gold Street, Kettering, please ask for

Sylvia.

about the challenging changes that are

happening in China.

health support across the borough of

Kettering, this will be available Monday to

This service is available to all, there will be

opportunities for drop ins and appointments.

Please share this information to make people

aware this service is now available, this is a

three month pilot to identify if there is a

need for this service so we need to ensure
