Youth and Children’s Band
We are aiming to have our youth and children’s
band again on Christmas Eve at the Christingle
Service and we still need some volunteers.
Please let me know if you have an instrument
and would be able to play (piano sorted!) If you
think you may only manage one or two of the
songs then that is totally fine! Just come and
have a go!
Once I know who we have I‘ll give out music
ASAP so that you can practise at home. There
will be a band practise before the Christingle
service starting at 2.30pm and it’s essential
that you come to that!
All tinsel and Christmas jumpers/hats
compulsory on the day! Let me know if you are
interested. Kirsty Clark

upstairs in Church House today (16th Dec )
and at 3.15pm on Christmas Eve (this
practise is essential to be at!)

Evangelism Training for Healthcare
Workers
2nd February, Church House 9.30 to 4.30
Every Christian health professional has a
unique opportunity to improve their
patients' physical and spiritual health, but
many feel frustrated by the challenge of
integrating faith and practice within time
constraints and legal obligations.
In our contact with patients we are called to
be 'the salt of the earth' - flavouring life with
grace and truth. Saline Solution is designed
to help Christian healthcare professionals
bring Christ and his good news into their
work.

ST BOTOLPH’S “900plus FESTIVAL”
planned for 2020
The PCC has decided it would be good to
celebrate the fact that there has been a
Christian witness in Barton Seagrave,
through what we now call St Botolph’s
Church, for at least 900 years. This witness
will, of course, continue into the future.
The intention is that 2020 will be a festival
year, with events to help us and the people of
Barton Seagrave to celebrate these 900+ years
of witness.
Derek Wade has been asked to oversee the
planning and delivery of any events we may
decide upon. If you would like to be
involved in this on-going planning and
delivery process, please let Derek know,
preferably by e-mail, before Christmas.
If you don’t wish to be involved but have a
suggestion to make, again, please let Derek
know by e-mail before Christmas.
Ideas already “on the table” include music
festival, arts/flower festival, floodlighting
the church, special peal of bells/handbells,
history tours and lots of others.
There will be an initial brain-storming meeting
soon after Christmas, and then regular planning
meetings throughout 2019 and into 2020.
Individuals may be invited to take on particular
roles, as necessary.
