Today’s Readings First Reading — God brought us into this land flowing with milk and honey (Deuteronomy 26:4-10). Psalm — Be with me, Lord, when I am in trouble (Psalm 91). Upcoming Events and Important Information

Hospitality Sunday Hospitality Sunday, March 24th after the 7:15 & 9:00 a.m. Masses. Come for free donuts and coffee in the parish hall. This is an opportunity to meet fellow parishioners. Please take the time to introduce yourself and your family to a parishioner or family that you do not know. We appreciate the Hospitality Committee who set up the event and the Men’s Club who pay for the donuts.

Friends & Fellowship The free meal will be this Sunday, March 10th, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The CYO will prepare the meal. This meal is for anyone in our area who needs a free meal or just some company and fellowship. Thanks to our parish groups and Newark organizations who help us in this good cause, including the committee members.

Family Rosary Program Sunday, March 31, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Edward Church

Stations of the Cross The Stations will be held in the Church every Friday of Lent: 9:30 a.m. English “Senior Stations” by Sr. Mary Mark 6:45 p.m. English By Deacons and Priests 7:30 p.m. Spanish By Deacon John and Hispanic Groups A plenary indulgence is given to those who piously make the stations of the cross under the following conditions: *Sacramental Confession *Communion *and Prayer for the intention of the Holy Father, all to be performed within days of each other if not at the same time.

Fasting Abstinence from meat is observed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent by all Cath-olics 14 years and older. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting also. Fasting is observed by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59.

Attention! This Saturday, March 9th, change your clocks one hour ahead before you go to bed.

St. Edward Women's Club The Women's Club continues its "Soul of a Disciple" series on Monday, March 18, 2019, at 7:00 pm. This month's presentation by Michele Javier-Poma is on "God's Love" and will focus on the truth that God loves us and has a plan for our welfare. Please join us for an evening of fellowship and faith-sharing. We look forward to seeing you there!

Acuérdense que “La Familia que reza unida, permanece unida”. La imagen la pue-den devolver el Sábado siguiente antes de la Misa, así la próxima familia puede llevarla a su casa.
